Canyon State Classics brings to market a beautiful fully optioned 1989 GTA WS6 Pontiac with the beefy 5.7L TPI motor and T-Tops which was a rare combo. This car has a great story and has traveled more miles by boat and train than perhaps any other Trans Am. This car was ordered new in 1989 by an officer in the military stationed in Germany. It was built in the Van Nuys, CA plant and prepped for export at the Military Prep Center in Baltimore before being transported overseas. The car would cris cross the Atlantic at least once more as its proud owner was sent back stateside, then re-deployed. I can just imagine this car on the Autobahn battling the top German offerings from Mercedes AMG and BMW M machines. The second owner bought the car in the early 2000s and had the car freshened up in 2005 with a new high quality paint job and fresh interior. The third female owner had a small collection of GM muscle cars and only put about 5k miles on the car. The car is documented with original paperwork, build sheet and export plate under the hood in German.

The tan leather is all in great condition and shows absolutely no wear! The interior is extremely comfortable and well optioned. The 6-way leather seats and leather wrapped wheel are every bit as comfortable as any of the luxury cars out there. The car has the original high quality Delco sound system. The system really sounds good and all speakers are in great shape. The multifuction steering wheel controls everything! Dash is perfect with no cracks.Mechanically, this Trans Am runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts as smooth as silk. With the 5.7L V8 the car has plenty of power to throw this rig from stop light to stop light. The car comes factory equipped with a 5 speed Automatic transmission and it shifts smoothly into every gear. The A/C blows ice cold and the car stays cool even in the 118 degree Arizona heat.All in all, this is one heck of a nice car to drive and will get compliments as well as stares everywhere it goes.
