Description:

1974 Pontiac GTO

Rarely seen GTO. This one has been through a body off frame restoration to factory new condition. #s match, documented with original window sticker, pre delivery inspection and glovebox literature.
EXTERIOR: My favorite part is the shaker hood scoop coming through the hood. It is functional, the flapper opens and let's in the fresh air, this was blocked shut on the Trans Ams. Rare Denver gold, looks better then it did when it was new. Has a clear coat that's been polished to a wet glossy finish. Body is absolutely straight and panels fit square and flush. No bubbles, cracks or issues at all that I found. New GTO stripes really pop. The bumpers have been rechromed. Windshield is new. I like the honeycomb grilles with 67 style turn signals. The Rally ll wheels have been restored and have reproduction Firestone Wide Oval tires. The jambs have been repainted glossy, new weather strips and window seals.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car right now and it's about as close to new as they get. The cushions are nice and firm, the upholstery is mint. Door panels are restored, new window cranks. Overhead the headliner, visors, mirror look new and the dome light works. Dash area is mint. Machine turned trim is bright, lenses are clear, heater controls and dash pad are like new. Ashtray is clean, has correct cigarette lighter. The 3 spoke cushion grip steering wheel is mint. There's a retro stereo in the factory hole and 6x9 speakers in back with factory grills. The only custom feature is a neatly installed set of Sunpro gauges and mini tachometer.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has VIN number match 350 that put out more horsepower than the Trans Am 400. The entire compartment is detailed like factory new. The engine has a very clean coat of Pontiac aqua paint. The shaker hood is complete and functional. Everything is neat and clean. Hoses, wiring, fan shroud, windshield squirters are all proper. All the painted finishes are smooth. It also has power steering and power brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Neat, clean and tidy in here. Solid metal with a nice coat of spatter finish paint. Has insulated mat and spare tire cover. Original jack assembly is mounted properly. The wiring, tailight housings are clean. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted and clear coated. Weatherstrip is new.
UNDERSIDE: Body was off the frame and underneath this car was restored and detailed. The floors appear to be bone dry original metal. Cleaned and painted satin black. Upfront the suspension and steering was rebuilt. Bottom of the motor is clean, new starter. The #s behind the lower hose on the block matches the vin on the car. Has original Turbo 350 automatic trans, . Brake system was restored. Has disc in front, e-brake assembly is complete. New brake and fuel lines. Has air shocks in back. Dual exhaust system with transverse pipe and correct splitter tips. It all looks new or restored- trans linkage, body bushings etc.
This was the last of the 10 year run of the legendary GTO. Returns again for a short time 2004-2006. This is one of the best ones in existence. Motor Trend called it "74s hottest muscle car" it had more horsepower then a Trans Am with a 400 and could out handle any of the earlier versions.
