200 miles on $90,000 build! Mint car to start with.
1978 Pontiac Trans Am --
Started with a 37,000 mile rust free survivor in excellent condition. I know, I sold it to him. He transformed it one of the hottest Trans Ams I've seen. Claimed over $90,000 invested, includes a pile of paper work. Less then 200 miles since finished. EXTERIOR: This is a virgin rust free, damage free car with all of it's original metal. It was completely taken apart and blasted to a bare shell including the underneath. They even stripped the undercoat... from the rear wheel wells. Has an incredible black paint job that is literally like a mirror, you could shave in it's reflection. The jambs are just as slick. Sill plates are new and shiny. New weatherstrips. All the body gaps line up real nice. New decals, the siver-red look hot. Staggered size polished aluminum wheels- 17x8 in front, 18x9.5s in back. Has performance tires. INTERIOR: It actually has it's original interior with some nice upgrades. Great looking electronic gauges that light up blue. Has new handsfree, bluetooth stereo system with Shockwave speakers, amp and subwoofer. New power window conversion. Premium Lloyd floormats. Has factory tilt formula wheel and power trunk release. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's beautiful! Full of polished aluminum parts. $6,967 spent on the performance built and balanced 455. It's Dyno tuned at 473 hp and 588 lbs of torque. Has itemized spec and Dyno sheets. Has Eagle rotating assembly. Howard's cam, roller lifters and double roller timing chain. Edelbrock aluminum D-port heads. Stainless rockers, ARP bolts. Has Edelbrock intake with 850 Quick Fuel carb. Premium fuel lines and fittings. Wilwood aluminum master cylinder. Tru Trac billet bracket and serpentine pulley system. Billet Specialties power steering system. New Vintage Air Gen IV heat and air system. Billet hood hinge kit. Has Ron Francis aluminum radiator and overflow bottle with electric fans. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the liner is perfectly clean original metal with original spatter paint. It has been carpeted and and upholstered panel hides the amp and subwoofer. Battery is relocated to the trunk with a billet hold down. Bottom of the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. UNDERSIDE: Spotless. Super clean original floors were blasted and painted. All the factory seams, spotwelds and even the lower 1/4 panel drain plugs are mint. Upfront is all new upgraded QA-1 suspension with tubular control arms, fat swaybar and adjustable coil over gas shocks. In back it has Detroit Speed suspension with tubular upper and lower control arms and adjustable coil over gas shocks. Competition Engineering frame connectors tie the front and back together. Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes system with drilled and slotted rotors. Bottom of the motor is spotless, has extra capacity oil pan and high torque starter. $4,616 for brand new TKO600 5-speed, custom supports, linkage, stage 1 Ceramix clutch kit, bell housing, flywheel etc. Has race balanced driveshaft and solid u-joints. 3.42 posi in back with aluminum cover. Custom exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. This car is exciting! Everybody that sees it, loves it. The builder did a great job making it look and perform incredible. I have bought and sold many cars with him, he loves building them. Once he is done he is ready to do the next one. Whoever buys his car benefits from all his time and money he invests. This is a perfect example! I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
