1963 Pontiac Grand Prix

1963 Pontiac Grand Prix Factory 421/ Tri-power/4 speed This beautiful grand prix was sold through Boomershine Pontiac In Atlanta. Boomershine had a reputation for performance and sponsored Jack Smith's Nascar Grand National race in the early 60's. This Grenadier red grand prix made its way to Ms circa 1970-72 sans its factory 421 and resided with its new owner for over 41 plus years. I purchased it in 2014 and continued to make some repairs and maintenance. It was painted in the mid 90's and always kept inside so the paint is in stellar condition. It's current drivetrain is a '69 Pontiac gto 400 with 13 heads and topped off with a '65 tripower intake. This combination is backed up by a newly rebuilt Muncie 4-speed. I do possess what is believed to be the original Borg-Warner transmission. It is pieces, but does go with the car when sold. It was more expensive to build at the time and I chose the muncie for the rebuild. Listed below are some of the newer items. Front end rebuilt to spec original 421 valve covers on engine and various brackets. alt etc... It does retain its correct LH manifold exhaust but RH has been changed to I believe '65 era Stainless steel exhaust with manual cutouts and Flowmasters New BF Goodrich on front and Hoosiers on the rear for the Nostalgic look. Seats and Headliner are original, dash has been recovered at some point. New carpet Wheel well molding and wheel trim rings have been polished Both front and rear bumpers re-chromed last year. Manufacturer options 421 Tri-power 370hp /4 speed with HD clutch Bucket seats and console Power Drum Brakes 8 Lug wheels Am/Fm radio (new to '63) Power antenna Note- Only thing I know of is rear main leaks slightly (typical rope seal) and power steering barely ( possible hose clamp) On a side note after the auction, winning bidder can have the option to purchase a correct 1963 544988 421 11B block and a date correct tri power intake that I was saving. Thanks for looking!! This car is being sold by owner not a dealer and is being sold as is.
