THIS SUPER CLEAN GTO POST WAS GIVEN TO US SELL BY ITS CURRENT OWNER WHO HAS A BUSY SCHEDULE AND RARELY HAS ANY TIME TO ENJOY IT. BOUGHT BACK IN 2009, E WANTED A NICE DRIVER TO TAKE TO CRUISE NIGHTS AND CAR SHOWS.

PAINT & BODY ARE SUPER CLEAN WITH RECENT LIGHT BLUE PAINT ( BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS GOLD ? ). DOORS OPEN AND SHUT NICE. NOT AN OVER THE TOP PAINT JOB, UT NICE ENOUGH FOR CAR SHOWS AND CRUISES. UPON CLOSE INSPECTION DEFECTS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PAINT / PREP- SOME MINOR CHIP, APE LINES, INOR RUNS… THE OWNER WASN’T TRYING TO BREAK THE BANK OR UPSET PURISTS- JUST WANTED A RESPECTABLE LOOKING& DRIVING CAR. NICE DRIVER QUALITY TRIM AND BRIGHTWORK. SOLID FLOORS AND FIREWALL, RUNK PAN IS THIN WITH A COUPLE SMALL HOLES- COULD USE REPLACING / REPAIRED…

INTERIOR IS VERY CLEAN AND PRESENTS WELL- NOT OVER THE TOP, UT NICE DRIVER QUALITY- DASH PAD, AUGE CLUSTER, ENTER CONSOLE, RONT & BACK SEATS, OOR PANELS, EADLINER, ARPET.. ALL IN DECENT SHAPE. AUXILIARY GAUGES- TACH, EMP AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGES WORK PROPERLY. FACTORY GAS GAUGE IS OFF.. SPEEDOMETER / ODOMETER RECENTLY STOPPED WORKING ?

ORIGINAL MOTOR IS GONE- INSTALLED IS A “YS” 389ci BLOCK WITH TRI-POWER CARBURETION. NOT SURE WHATS BEEN DONE TO THE MOTOR OR HOW MANY MILES ARE ON THE MOTOR ? STARTS RIGHT UP AND SETTLES TO HEALTHY IDLE- MAYBE COULD USE A CARB ADJUSTMENT ( TRIPS , IMIN, UNE UP SINCE IT SAT FOR A WHILE ? MUNCIE 4-SPEED WITH SOLID SHIFTS- ALTHOUGH COULD MAYBE USE ADJUSTMENT WITH THE LINKAGE / CLUTCH CHATTER- SHIFTS GREAT FROM A START AND THROUGH THE GEARS- JUST A LITTLE TRICKY UPON 1ST COUPLE TIMES OF DRIVING…. FINISHED WITH A 10-BOLT POSI & 4.10 GEARING.

GOOD POWER DRUM BRAKE, OSEN’T PULL WHEN BRAKES APPLIED. GOOD TIRES WITH PLENTY OF TREADWEAR LEFT.
