Description:
1969 Pontiac GTO Coupe
!969 Pontiac GTO. Spent its early life on a drag strip. That's the reason for the low mileage. Was parked years ago until we found it. This car is not numbers matching but does have the period correct engine and transmission. The entire car was disassembled. The frame and all undercarriage components were powder coated in gloss black, satin black, and silver. The bottom of the car has been sanded painted and cleared coated. The under carriage and underneath of the car is beautiful. I will try to list the new parts but its easier to mention that it has all been replaced with new, rebuilt, or refurbished parts. Engine ran great so it was painted and chrome added to it. The engine is the same one that was in the car when raced. The transmission still shifted fine but was rebuilt just to freshen it up. The rear end gears were changed with new higher gear ratio to make the car street driven friendly. All new brake shoes, pads, calipers, wheel cylinders, bearings, seals, brake lines, fuel lines, fuel pump. fluids, u joints, neoprene bushings, and fuel tank. The rear quarters had some rust but rather than patch we had new quarters installed. Trunk pan was replaced due to a fuel cell that had been in the car. The car body work was completed and painted the original Carousel Red. The hideaway headlights are all redone and work properly. A good dura bumper was located in Florida and installed because it had a fiberglass one on it from race days. The interior was all there but need recovered. New upholstery including seats, door panel, arm rest, rear interior panels, rear window upholstery, head liner, dash pad, carpet, carpet pad, and kick panels. The taillights were redone and installed. The rear bumper was good and was reused. The doors, fenders, hood, and trunk were original to the car and in great shape so they were repainted. More pictures are available upon request including pictures from the day we picked up the car. This GTO appears to be stock with the exception of the Centerline Warrior wheels and chromed engine bay which someone could make completely stock if they preferred. We liked the look of the wheels and the stance the car has so we left it this way. And the motor we did all the chrome just because its so eye catching at the car shows. Its fun to drive but doesn't get out much so its time to sell. As far as any questions about it being a Judge, we are not sure.Vehicle Details:
