I am selling this car for a friend, AS-IS.You may see in the pictures that this car had valid registrationand inspection in Texas until October of 2017. It will not take much to get this car back on the road.To the best of my knowledge, this vehicle mileage is 26,901 actual miles.This car was a toy to the father of my friend and was not a daily driver.
This 1978 Trans Am is a great candidate for a bottoms up restoration.I have included many pictures to highlight the true condition of the car.There are 2 major rust spots on the car, one on the passenger door just under the window, and the other is on the truck lid.Good news is that both are easily replaceable.This car is very clean for the age.If you have been looking, it is extremely hard to find a relatively clean Firebird or Camaro of this age.
The engine on the Trans Am has been rebuild a few years ago and runs awesome.I am not sure of the specifics of the rebuild but we replaced the valve cover gaskets due to leaks and were able to show the roller rockers and valve train.This is a solid high performance engine that has a noticeable rumble at idle.
