1969 Pontiac Firebird
Thanks for looking at my a, i am selling one of my long time car projects . This was a stock resto and then i rebuilt it into a pro touring ca, ive had this car since i was 18 im 43 now so as you can see ive had it for many years. the reason im selling it is because my father recently died and he had left me his first car he had coming to america a 51 chevy so unfortunatly i cant have more than one project car in my life so i must sell the firebird. So breif history as to why the car is in its current condition is i had rebuilt this car twice once i restored it from a complete rot box to a stock car and quickly got bored of that and the protouring craze hit and i had to do i, so back then there was no kits you had to modify every part even the bolt on kits so i had many different brand parts on the car and all good parts but when combined did not work well together so it frustrated me as i am a perfectionist when it comes to cars and bikes for instance a small squeak will drive me crazy . I drove the car to many car shows and events but was never satisfied for many years till about 2013 i descided i would do the car professionally so i tore the car down to the bare metal removed and sold all the parts i would not need and sold the others that i knew were still worth money and bagged the parts i would keep and reuse. well after i got the car blasted i saw some spots still had rust and proceeded to remove and replace those parts well i did more cutting than replacing not that i dont know what im doing but i just got tired of the working on the same car over and over again . The car originally a stock 350 v8 2 barrel automatic car with 4 wheel drums no power anythin, the color was originally coral blue with a black vinyle top and black vinyle interior . What the car has i will list and what the car needs i will list .The car comes with :
1: Both NOS front fenders that have been shaved of all emblems and parking lights but can be easily converted back 2:Both drivers and passengers delcron reproduction doors and 2 of the original doors that were blasted and u can see rot holes but the skins are good for patch panels if need be
3: The whole rear Car shell that has been blasted clean but has started to surface rust but easily cleaned back to bare metal
4: Clean title (actually just a Registration 69 had no titles)
5:VFT Fiberglass 400 hood with hood latch ( like factory no hood pins needed) still in box
6:All the underhood pieces / wheelwell, hood hinges, radiator support and they are already black powder coated gloss 7:Stock front frame clip that has been slightly modified to fit the ride tech air bag kit so theres a sligh opening in the spring pockets
8: Rear wheel mini tubs that were started but never installed
9: 3 Rear trunklids 1 original blasted clean has a dent in it and 2 Delcron repos that need work damaged during shipping but easy
10: A full complete Black interior from carpet to headliner and all screws are bagged and tagge, The dash has the deluxe gauge package no dummy light, factory console that has a custom flame paint job done to i, Cerrillo black leather racing seats ( look just like recarros) factory rear seats, new visors, new dash pad, new headliner
11: all side glass and regulators roll up and rear glass the front cracked when i removed it :(
12: Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fan and catch can
13: Rock valley stainless steel gas tank and straps 16 gallon not set up for fuel injection but can easily be converted to an intank fuel pump
14: all body badges and tim if needed
15: i also have 2 -68 nose bumpers and 1 bumper bracket support ( i was going to make a custom nose for the car )
16: i have a custom car rendition made for the car ( think of kindigit or foose when they draw a car concept) you can have and use or not
17: stock refurbished tilt column
18: painless complete car wireing harness
19: Vintage air HVAC system everything except the condensor pump for the engine set up for the new r-12
20: all lighting an, widshield wiper arms and transmission
21: also i shaved the firewall smooth and some of the panels have been shaved but easily converted back no major mods just holes closed
22: "70 camaro side mirrors
Things needed to finish car:
1: engine and transmission of your choice i have both pedal set ups
2: drive shaft
3: rear axle of your choice
4: Brakes, lines and booster and m/c
5:wheels and tires
6: paint and body work
7: and finally hard work a desire to build a hot rod
this is a great project car its very solid and a good foundation to start wit, its a different car to a camaro that has been done to death but is good because it swaps all camaro parts over ie motor and trans etc.
good luck and thanks again for reading my ad
