1984 Pontiac Trans Am 30k original miles original paint
1984 Pontiac Trans Am
You are looking at my beautiful 1984 Trans Am. It has 30,000 ACTUAL miles on it, with all original paint. It has been stored winters and is truly an original unmolested car. It has a 305, auto, power windows.
Paint/Body: The paint does shine very well for being nearly 35 years old, but has never been touched up, just waxed regularly. Presents very very well, but there are a few scratches and dings. The hood bird had started to peel, but the rest of the decals are original and near perfect. Both headlight motors operate as they should. You can clearly see the original gm part numbers and date codes on the fender still. Both original factory stickers are on the door jambs.
Underhood: Hood liner is in good shape, and the rubber seal that goes between the hood and sits on the air cleaner is still pliable, and not damaged as most are. The "AC delco" air filter sticker on the air cleaner is still intact!
Undercarriage: The underside of the car is in excellent condition. It had been undercoated when originally purchased, and although dry in some spots, is still intact. The floors and trunk are nice, and it also looks like it has never been "mis lifted" where shops always tried to lift by the fender rather than the sub frame. You can tell it is a car that had not seen bad weather. When I had the tires off to replace (one had a nail in the shoulder so I replaced the pair), you could still see the assembly line inspection marks on the drums)
Interior: The seats have no stains, carpet is in excellent condition other than a stain on the passenger rear, but it is not noticeable with the floor mat on (rear floor mats are original and in excellent condition) Headliner is new. Door panels, dash, etc is all in great shape, plastic panels are not brittle and present as a 30k mile car should. It does have an aftermarket cd player, and I do not have the original one. The owners manual is included, with the packet from the original dealer, and the RPO code tag is still on the inside of the lid.
What is new: 2 of the tires are new (July 2018), headliner was done in 2017, it has fresh oil and brake fluid. Battery is also only about a month old.
What it needs: It does have a small exhaust leak at the hanger that is above the rear axle. I did not fix it, as I was not able to locate an original one. It had a check engine code #34, which is MAP sensor, most but typically it is a vacuum leak. I replaced some of the vacuum hoses, which appear to have addressed it, but have not had the chance to getlot of miles on it to confirm.
Realistically, you would be hard pressed to find a more original low mile Trans Am. It was originally purchased as a weekend cruiser, and was garage stored its whole life, and kept as a toy and not an every day driver. The car islocated in my garage in Medina, OH (about 30 minutes south of Cleveland) and is available for inspection. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I have no problem coordinating with your shipper should you wish to deliver.
