1971 Pontiac GTO --

As one of the most sought-after members of the muscle car realm, Pontiac GTOs are a big draw among collectors. This 1971 Pontiac GTO, with its original, matching numbers drivetrain, is the beneficiary of a frame off restoration that's left it not only looking great, but in outstanding running condition, taking that already magnetic attraction and ratcheting it up more than a few notches. Just a quick glance at this classic will leave you with the indelible impression that this... is one seriously clean, straight and solid cruiser. It's likely been pampered a good portion of its life, as its flush fitting panels are all original - no aftermarket replacements here. This GTO has been restored from the ground up, and certainly looks the part, and the collection of clean, tight lines you'll encounter from its hood to fenders to doors and back serve as proof of how well the work was done. Its Canyon Copper color was a factory option when it debuted more than 45 years ago, and is represented well here, looking liquid-smooth and consistently even from front to back, with an impressive shine from its clearcoat. The badging on its front grille and emblems on its decklid and fenders are sharp, combining with very clear glass, new seals and straight front and back bumpers to drive home the point that no stone was left unturned in bringing this venerable muscle car back up to its optimum condition. There's quite an impressive black vinyl interior sitting inside. It's also been refurbished and kept in its original configuration - save for a pair of well-placed aftermarket gauges - to provide just the rewarding and era-appropriate driving environment classic car enthusiasts look for. The broad buckets up front and bench seat in back show virtually no wear at all and still have a fresh shine to them. Underneath the seating, a clean expanse of black carpet runs underneath the seating, ornamented with a pair of GTO floor mats in front of the buckets. Peer through the original steering wheel and you'll see a great looking instrument cluster, whose original gauges are very readable through their clear lenses. A dealer-installed 8-track player sits front and center to provide a nostalgic look, while an AM/FM/CD player with auxiliary and USB ports resides in the glove box to serve your audio needs in earnest. A full-size spare with a lot of tread showing sits in the trunk in back, whose floor has been treated for scuff protection. With the absence of carpeting to cover it, any imperfections or damage from shifting cargo would be in plain sight, but none can be found. The original YS code 400 cubic inch V8 sitting under the hood has only been lightly used after its rebuild, and runs with a smoothness and consistency that makes it very much up to the task of daily driving, if you should so choose. It's paired with its also original rebuilt TH400 3-speed automatic transmission that benefits from the same conditions, shifting with plenty of certainty followed by it's original rebuilt rear end with 3.23 gears. With both power steering and power brakes in tow, this is an easy driver. Should you desire any more proof of just how well-put together and cared for this GTO is, take a glance underneath - you'll find an unusually clean undercarriage there. This well-restored Pontiac sits on a set of 14" honeycomb wheels that are outfitted with BF Goodrich T/A radials. Highly desirable, vintage muscle cars like this 1971 Pontiac GTO don't come around very often, and its impressive condition both inside and out make it that much rarer of a find. Call today!
