Up for sale is my 1959 Pontiac Catalina 9 passenger wagon. It has a 389/2 barrel 315 HP engine with the Strato-flight Hydra automatic transmission. It has an ultra rare original roof rack (very hard to find). You can find the Chevrolet version of these wagons,but the 59 Pontiac is so much harder to find and is very rare.I have replaced the following parts: New Coker wide white radials, spark plugs, ignition wires, cap,rotor, distributor (electronic ignition) and coil, battery, battery cables,generator (rebuilt), regulator, gas tank, new fuel hard lines, and filler neck,fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, upper and lower radiator hoses,thermostat and gasket, complete exhaust system, rear taillight lenses,reverse light lenses,brake drums, brake shoes,wheel cylinders and master cylinder, etc.I have a good restorable steering wheel (Cost me $300) that is included along with an original sales brochure (picture of this wagon when it was new) and owners manual.I have put a lot of work into this car and it has loads of potential, but it's time to move it to the next person to see it through the next phase of the restoration.The engine runs decent and the transmission shifts good. I have driven it around my neighborhood, but I haven't taken it on any trips. I would recommend trailering it. The windshield is cracked and there is a bb shot in the right rear qtr glass. There is rust in the floor pans,lower qtr panels,and lower front fenders. The interior needs to be redone, but I found a company that has all the original materials and can make door panels and carpet sets as well as the headliner. I will give this information to the winning bidder.These cars are hard to find and I have described the car as best as I can. The car is sold as and where is with no warranties expressed,or implied. Well the next bid will remove the reserve. Unfortunately the person who bid it to $4300.00 canceled his bid. I have more than twice this amount of money in the car. It's unfortunate that there are people who are dishonest on eBay. Good luck to all bidders !
