1955 Pontiac Star Chief

I have for sale a 1955 Pontiac Star chief that is in good shape. The Star chief was the top of the line for Pontiac in '55. The body and interior of this 50's town cruiser are nice.The 287 V-8 runs well and the car drives well also. The automatic trans shifts good. Good brakes. Comfortable ride. Nice wide white wall tires. Correct hubcaps. 84,000 on the odometer. The body is straight and solid. The paint is older paint but still looks good. Solid bumpers. The stainless trim on this classy cruiser is really very nice and all complete. The interior chrome is also very good. The inside roof pillar chrome and headliner chrome strips are very nice. Nice dash and very nice horn ring. The seats are the original leather and still are comfortable and look good. There is a small fixable tear in the driver's seat and the rear seat is great. The door panels are excellent and the rear seat side panels are excellent too. Very nice headliner too. The dash look great and the gauges are clear. The remote driver's door mirror works. Solid trunk and original trunk mat. Carpet is cleanable and in good shape. All the glass is good. E-brake works(holds) and the e-brake warning/on light lights up. The following items all work: turn signals front and back, headlights and high beams, brake lights, tail lights, **the Indian head on the hood lights up**, wipers, horn, door locks, inside trunk light, dash lights, all gauges except speedometer, odometer, all windows, trunk-doors-hood all open and shut well. Non-working: dome lights, radio (lights up but no sound). speedometer. The underside does have surface rust and the inner rockers will need replaced. Frame looks good. Floors seem solid. Exhaust sounds OK, but tailpipe needs replaced from muffler back. This is a nice 50's Pontiac 2-door hardtop cruiser. The Star chief 2-door hardtop is getting hard to find.
