1986 Pontiac Fiero GT 5-speed
1986 Pontiac Fiero
For sale is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT.This Fiero has been nicely maintained and upgraded and currently shows just 81,539 miles on the odometer. This car has nearly every option that was available including sunroof, Getrag-282 5 speed transmission, power windows, power door locks, and air conditioning.I have only put about 15,000 miles on the car since I purchased it in 2004, and all of the below work has been done in that time. I will try put these items in rough chronological order:
-New AC Compressor, condenser, and R-134 conversion
-New Brake calipers, rotors, pads, master cylinder, and stainless-steel brake lines
-Rodney Dickman Dual steering dampener kit
-1999 Trans Am CD player/head unit (matches interior perfectly)

-Antenna shaved, and replaced with an aftermarket unit mounted inside the passenger side fender
-Custom white vinyl Fiero emblems

-Aluminum cradle bushings

-Mr. Mikes GT style leather seat cover
-Mr. Mike shift boot
-Custom Flowmaster exhaust
-Custom center arm rest (with 12V outlet and cup holders), center console door, and glove box in leather supplied by Mr. Mike to match the seats.
-All new speakers throughout the car including addition of 2 x 3-inch speakers in each head rest.
-Sound deadening material added to entire floor and rear fire wall.

-NOS FWD Getrag 282 installed - Royal Purple Synchromesh after break-in.
-LED bulbs installed throughout the car with the exception of the headlights, which are stock
-Self dimming rear view mirror with compass and temperature
-Hela Supertone horns installed
-Brand new oil pressure sending unit
I'm sure that I am forgetting a lot.I have many, MANY receipts, as well as multiple manuals (including both paper and digital copies of the GM shop manual) which will go with the car, as well as a large Rubbermaid bin full of additional parts.
The Bad:
-The car was in in accident in 2005, and the front bumper cover and fenders are from another car.
-One of the headlights is sometimes a little rough going down.It always goes up and down, but about %50 of the time it "pops' a little on the down cycle.
-There are a couple of dings in the paint.Nothing that you would notice without looking pretty closely, but they are there.
-The headliner has some wrinkles, and I suspect that the backing board may be damaged, but have not verified
-There may be a slight exhaust leak at one of the manifolds.I have not looked to far into this, and it is slight.
-The installation of the side scoops is a bit hacked. You won't see it unless you look closely though.
-There is a small oil leak, which I have not tracked down. Its relatively small, but if it sits for a while there will be several drops
-The rear trunk gasket needs to be replaced
-Tail lights have a couple of small cracks
-There is an area on the top of the driver's door where the clear coat has peeled. The car has been indoors 95% of the time since it was painted, so I attribute this to poor work by the painter.I'm sure that any body shop could fix this pretty cheaply.
-The car has aftermarket quarter windows, but unfortunately they are both cracked.
The Good:
Besides the list of replacements and upgrades above, this is a cool little car that is fun to drive, gets decent mileage, passes California SMOG every time, and gets attention everywhere it goes.I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
General:
I'm sure that I am forgetting a lot.I have many, MANY receipts, as well as multiple manuals (including both paper and digital copies of the GM shop manual) which will go with the car, as well as a large Rubbermaid bin full of additional parts.I also have the stock wing, which is painted to match and goes with the car, however one of the pedestals is cracked. The interior pictures shown are accurate except that they do not show the after-market shift knob.I'll get more updated interior pictures up soon.I do drive it, so mileage may change slightly.More pictures available on request.
