1962 Pontiac Catalina Convertible, Red with red tri-tone interior, 389 2 barrel engine with 3 speed column shift transmission, AM radio and power top are the only options. Car was purchased from original family in 2007. Car has 103,000 miles and has original engine which ran well. The car needed brakes and the clutch was slipping. The car comes with all new brake parts, clutch kit and new fuel/brake line kit from Inline Tube. The car has not been started since 2007 however has been in my heated garage since then. I will provide a reproduction fuel tank, strap kit and sender with car. I know of no parts missing off the car other than jack. The front seat was in need of new covering so we purchased all new correct interior material for the car. Door panels are in excellent condition. The top could stand to be replaced. Back window is bad. Car has clear glass and the windshield has a crack. A new correct carpet set comes with car. Floors and trunk are good. Very minor lower rust (repaired long ago but not coming thru) on lower quarters and maybe front fenders. Went over car with fridge magnet. All moldings are in place and only the tail light housings are pitted. The rear bumper could stand replacement and a nice core comes with the car. No cut wiring. The car also comes with a complete rebuilt 1962 389 with 30 minutes run time! The car is very complete.
The one problem with the car is the rear part of the frame over the rear wheels. I was told by the owners that the car was stored for years in a barn, half on, half off a concrete and dirt frame. Repairs were made (farmer quality) but are not of any quality. So the car comes with the following:
A: a section of rust free rear 1962 convertible frame from in front of the rear windows back ORB: a complete bare 1962 convertible frame, sandblasted, primed and painted satin black.
The car will also come with new body mounts (18) and a complete car set of sandblasted 1962 front end parts (a-arms, drag line, tie rods) and front end rebuild parts (bushings, ball joints).
