The car was purchased new by usfrom the Pontiac dealer in Oakland, A in 1989. The car has always been garaged and when we moved to Indiana from the Bay Area in 2007 the car was transported via professional car carrier. Car has never been in the snow or ice of Indiana so rust is not an issue as the car spent most of its life in Bay Area. The carruns like a bat out of hell with 5 speedmanualtransmission with very good road responsewith theperformance suspention. Although it has the 5.0 Liter (305ci) engine it has plenty of power (the only engineavailableif you wanted a manual transmission and T-Tops as the 5.7 liter engine would twist the body with manual transmission so all 5.7 Trans-Amscame with automatic transmission only) . We wanted the five speed manual transmission rather then auto trans for the fun of driving a high performance stick shift rather then automatic.The car ishas four new Fulda Quantum Elite 245/50zr16 high performance tires which have less thentwo thousand miles, ew Alternator, ew PowerAntennamotor, ew heater core, ew fuel injectors, ll repairs done by GMC Dealers withOME. Theradio has the equalizer and cassette player which sounds fantastic, e will include a cassetteto put into the cassette player which allows you to plug into your IPod or IPhone to hear your tunes through the cars sound system.The T-Tops are safety glass and include the sunblock panels. GM Factory Bra purchasedwith carin 1989includes headlight covers and front hood with Firebird TransAm text. Retractable security shade on hatchback is in perfect condition and retracts just like new.The car has been kept in original condition and still has original paint.The stress crack on the spoiler is a common issue associated with the material GM made the spoiler out of. To keep the original aspect of the car we opted toleave it rather then replace with aftermarket fiberglass. You will be hard pressed to find a One Owner 1989 Trans-Am GTA"Knight Rider"which has been pampered and taken care of as well as this one.
