1967 Pontiac GTO #'s matching HO 360 HP WS 4 speed 355 Nodular posi console disk
1967 Pontiac GTO HO 4 speed
Here is a 67 GTO HO 4 speed Posi #'s matching PHS documented car!
Car has built the first week of May 1967, and everything that I can find that has a date on it is 100% correct.
Car was equipped with manual steering and manual DISK Brakes, (yes the 4 piston caliper brakes, although PHS doesn't have them highlighted on the build sheet), Tach and gauges, console, rear speaker, Ride and handling package,
Engine:
Block WS codeddated D037 (April 3rd 67)
Intake dated D147 (April 14th 67)
Heads are 670 casting, dates are under valve cover. (I can pull and look if you need me to.
Distributor 1111250 dated 7D25 (April 25th 67)
Alternator 1100700 Dated 7D24 (April 24th 67)
Carb is a Quadrajet, built by carter #4456S dated E7
* (My understanding is that at times Rochester had trouble meeting capacity for the Quadrajet carburetors and therefore Carter made Quadrajets in order for GM to meet production volume.
The car has always had the hood installed, hoever there was a mouse nest between the intake and valley pan and therefore valley pan has rust holes in it now. Engine is stuck from sitting. It does have all the correct nuts, bolts fasteners, hardware, brackets, etc..
Transmission:
Muncie 4 speed Case # 3885010 Dated P7D21 (April 21st 67) (My dads birthday)
Shifter is a correct 67 Hurst 4 speed shifter and handle, but I did not get the date from it. I can if you need me to.
4 speed console is included with the car, but not pictured.
Rear end:
Nodular iron Housing with part # 9788047
Could not read the date code or ratio code stamped in axle tube with just using a wire brush. I assume both will become evident after media blasting.
Unit goes have Limited slip tag as well as the infamous "N" cast into the center section indicating a Nodular Iron center section.
PHS shows the car came with a 3:55 Posi. I can pull the cover and get you the ring and pinon dates and ratio if needed.
I was told this is a one owner car that was parked in a field in 1978 until it was rescued in the summer of 2016. It was then titled to the surviving spouse. The car is pretty much untouched and is about as original as they come in terms of correct components, hardware,
As you can see in the photos, the body and frame are not usable due to extensive rust. I am not going to even try to describe the body or frame, please do not plan that either could be saved. Entire driver side rocker is GONE, frame is badly rusted at driver front frame horn and many other places. The car rolls just fine. The front calipers are off of it, but come with the car.
