1965 Pontiac GTO Clone /LeMans NICE Car ! Hard work done
1965 Pontiac Le Mans
Here up for auction is a Really Nice 65 Pontiac LeMans/ GTO CLONE . I am listing this for a good frien, he has had some health issues come u, forcing the sale before the restoration is done . It started as a LeMans hardtop V8 coupe. It features now a 73 350 /automatic transmission . It has a aluminum intake-rebuilt carb. Starts and runs GREAT . Dual exhaust sounds sweet and smooth. New Aluminum radiator . It is a factory bucket seat car with the floor shift and console . Has the orig. interio, Not the greates, but all there sans the headliner and factory radio. Comes with a new carpet set and rear package tray. Now for the body ! This car came from Pa. and is in real nice shape, at one point was taken off the frame and done with POR-15 . The floor and trunk pans were replaced at one time . There is no visable rust on the under side at all . The rear has had quarter panel skins installed . The rest are all the factory panels it was born with . All of the work has been professionally don, not a quick bondo job . The body is a few hours of final blocking to be ready to spray . Very straight . It has all been jambed in with 70 Corvette Mulsane Blue paint .Most all of the chrome and trim must have been done at one tim, because most of it is NICE ! Way too nice to be the factory stuff . Beautiful and shiney ! The rear bumper has a couple small blister, but still is sharp ! The wheels are factory style rallys with new rings /caps and Redline tires . New rear springs installed - comes with new ones for the front too. A new windshield is included in the sale too. It IS A CLON, but in 64/65 the GTO was an option on a lemans . Bottom line i, this is a spray job away from being one hell of a sharp car . Throw in some new furniture and slap on the paint . and you could have a cruiser worth 20K !! It runs /shifts great / and a great investment . Health issues are preventing the owner from completing it now. just think what its worth done ! It is for sale locally to, so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Contact through E-bay if you want to inspect it in person . I will not discuss the reserv, bid what you feel its worth . Thats the way auctions are supposed to go ! God Bless America and our Troops . If you won't stand behind them -feel free to stand in front of them !!!!On Feb-16-17 at 00:40:57 PST, seller added the following information:
Have had lots of questions about the 65 . Yes it has a clear transferable title . Yes it is a GTO CLON, its a lemans that has been transformed . On the 64-65 it was only an option on the lemans anyways . If you are wanting a genuine GTO prepare yourself to pay a hell of a lot more for one in this shape ! The car runs and shifts fin, don't run ho, knoc, bang or any other strange things . Look around and see what the rotted out bondo bombs are going for and you can see why this one is a bargain . Its been off the frame and the undercarrige painted with POR-15 . Its rock solid This one needs the furniture update, and a good squirt of paint and you will proud to cruise in this one . Most people don't give two sh--s if its a clone or not . Buyer is 100% responsible for pick up / delivery . Don't assume your last minute bid will buy i, as it IS for sale locally too . As for a "buy it now" contact us through E ba, and we could end the auction at any time. Check my feedbac, I never mis-represent anything I list . I try to be up front and honest and tell it like it i, as thats the way I want to be treated as a buyer myself. Thanks for your interest .
