1972 Pontiac Firebird

This 1972 Pontiac Firebird is no project car. This is a great-looking, great-running road car. When I went looking for the car myself I wanted something with the work already done. I bought it in California and drove it home to Colorado, where it's been garage-kept ever since. I take it out about once a week on average, and in the 10 years I've owned it have logged about 10K miles.
The car restoration — inside and out — was about three years complete when I got it. (I have a huge folder of receipts.) The rebuilt motor is a 350ci with performance cam that produces a wicked-sounding idle. In the time I've had the car the only work needed done were new upper/lower ball joints to go with a front-end alignment, and I threw in rear leaf spring bushings while I was at it. If I wanted to put extra money into the car it would be to "sporty up" the suspension, but, nah. The passenger door exterior handle doesn't work, but the interior handle does. The car body is straight with no dents, the floors and trunk all good. There are a few scratches at the driver-side rear, courtesy of my inconsiderate kids wheeling their bicycles out of the garage, and there is a 1cm poke in the shoulder of the driver seat. These two areas are shown in the pictures. The heater equipment is on the car, but currently bypassed for want of a good heater core. The car fires right up and runs great. The pictures speak for the rest.
If this car were a show piece it'd be going for 3x the auction start. No, this is a great-looking road car, good to go. If you're a fan of this model era (1970-73, you know what I'm talking about), you see these cars don't come up often. In all the time I've owned it I haven't seen a single other in the wild. I'll miss the waves and thumbs-up I get out there, but it's time for this 'Bird to move on. Contact me for any questions or requests.
