1989 Pontiac Trans Am

“ORIGINAL OWNER” This numbers matching TTA #1424 comes with loads of documentation, window sticker, build sheet, warranty paper work, service paper work, press kit, owners kit, Mint NOS 20th Annv Spark Plug Wires… This TTA began duty as a Pontiac Exec Promo (PEP) car.It was then sold at a General Motors auction on its certificate of origin with 1335 miles on the odometer. I purchased the car on August 23, 1990 from that dealer with 1452 miles on the odometer and became it's first registered owner.

The vehicle has never been in an accidenet and retains all its original sheet metal. The overall body condition is in good/excellent original condition. There are a few minor dings, and scratches that are noticed close up - the car was enjoyed, driven, shown, garaged, and maintained - not parked to become a trailer queen. The emblems were replaced recently with OER pieces. The door decals are showing some fade, and the original set is still in the owner’s kit. The spoiler has been replaced, the antenna was replaced with a correct unit. The nose and hood were repainted before I purchased the car because of airborne debris near the Van Nuys holding yard. The seats, headliner, sunvisors, T-top shades, speaker cover panels have all been refurbished with correct beechwood. New carpet was installed due to fading. All weather stripping is in excellent condition and has been replaced as needed with NOS parts over the years. The headlights flip up and down correctly. The rear hatch works properly. The battery is new. The original alternator was rebuilt not replaced.

The vehicle has its original engine featuring Lunati cam and lifters. The original heads and intake were sent out to Champion for a street port and match job. The original transmission was replaced by Pontiac under warranty. The unit since then was rebuilt and upgraded for heavy duty applications with the addition of a stall speed converter. The rear ring and pinion were changed to a 3:45 gear.A new Precision TA5858 turbo unit was installed less than 30 miles ago along with 50lb injectors and a Tweak chip. There’s a 3 bar regulator and XP Armstrong fuel pump to support more boost if wanted. The vehicle has an on board ANS boost controller and Scan Master. The exhaust exits through a Hooker 3” system and the car sounds great through the original s/s twin splitter tail pipes. All of the vehicles fluids have just been changed religiously and I’ve been adamant about doing this more than required. I just installed new brakes using GM Delco pads and rotors, new energy suspension stabilizer links, Timken left axle seal, and FelPro differential cover gasket.

The seat bolsters do not all work properly since the seats have had new leather installed, I don’t know if it’s simple connection or hose to the bladders. Tires have plenty of tread, but fronts are showing some cracking in between tread. Radio turns and antenna works properly, but unit will not tune to any station. I do get a few drips of oil from the rear main seal, but it's not bad.The AC blew ice cold until recently. Dye test was performed and the unit just needs a high pressure switch. With a charge it AC will freeze you out for a few weeks.

I’m not interested in trades, and the reason I’m selling is simply to move on to something else. I welcome any questions before purchasing except what is the reserve! Inspections allowed and I can recommend some shippers that I have used with success for other vehicles. Deposit within 24 hours and payment in full due within 7 business days. I reserve the right to cancel auction at any time due to the fact vehicle is for sale locally.
