This is your opportunity to own a fine rolling investment. The exterior presents a quality finish of the correct for this GTO Montero Red. The body panels align correctly and the paint has an excellent shine throughout. The body is very straight. Any paint imperfections on closer inspection are minor. There are a select few paint chip touch-ups. Please look through our detailed photos. This is a quality car. The white convertible top assembly is in excellent condition top to bottom. The wheels of choice are these 15-inch chromed Cragar S/S rims fitted with B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A rubber all around. The upholstery was recently replaced front to back and is in excellent condition as is the carpeting, door panels, dash and weatherstripping.This is the correct Parchment interior with a matching convertible top boot. The signature GTO woodgrain dash applique is in very good condition as are the gauges.The original radio is in place. The nice carpeted GTO floor mats are protected with plastic. The parchment bucket seating is in great shape as is the factory center console. Under hood is the correct "YS" 389 factory rated at 335 horsepower. The engine compartment is detailed exceptionally well. You can see the extent of the restoration. The engine and transmission were removed and reconditioned.This car has been well cared for since its restoration work. Factory options include air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Also, the original VIN plate is intact and legible. The sheetmetal throughout the core support, inner fenders, and firewall is in excellent condition as is the hood. The hood underside insulation has been replaced. The braking system has been gone through as well. This is a true Montero Red car with Parchment interior. The undercarriage is in excellent condition. The floor pans and flooring shows very well front to back as does the suspension. The exhaust system has been replaced as well as the fuel tank, sending unit, and suspension bushings. This was a thorough restoration effort. We have a binder detailing much of the work along with the PHS documentation. The door undersides are solid. The door weatherstrip is in good shape left and right. The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with the mat, spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment. The trunk pan is in excellent condition.
