1979 Pontiac Trans Am

This 79 hardtop, 400/4 spd car is about as unmolested and original as they come. I would say it is 95% original, the interior is original and in super shape.no cracks in dash or console, no tears in seats. Carpet has one small rub through where your heel rests, this car was DRIVEN! the paint is mostly original with 40 year old patina,...it has had a couple touch ups over the years. But it looks mean! The pans are good, trunk, bottoms of door, rocker, tail pan, fenders, all good. The only bad spots are behind each rear wheel, just on the outside only. I started to have these repaired, but figured i would leave them as is, and let the new owner decide if he wants a survivor or a restored car. They are only original once!This car had sat in a garage for the past 12 years with a spun rod bearing. When it finally saw dayligh, the motor was rebuilt, it only needed new bearings and gaskets. But, the guy decided he wanted a thumper cam in it, he drove it about 200 miles, and thats when i got it. The first thng i did was take out the big cam and put in a mellng sp5 which is real close to the stock cam, i broke it in, and thats as far as the car has gone, well, i did do a couple donuts in the yard!The car is matching numbers, PWH block, i did have cliff rugles help put a carb kit in the orignal carb.I have not done anything to the brakes, they work fine, everythng is as it was found in the garage..all the ac stuff is here, its just not installed, car has headers...Here is your chance to get a Nocturne blue, w72 ws6 deluxe black interior one of 2400 hardtop cars in original condition...restore it and its a $35000 car, leave it alone and ?
