Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 1975
1975 Pontiac Trans Am
1975 Trans Am. I am selling last years winter project that I have lost interest in. I bought the car in late 2104 drove it home about 75 miles and started working on it.The only trade consideration I would have, would be for a 69' Grand Prix. Here are the details of the car.
BODY; I replaced the drivers side front fender and door skin because I did not like the gap between the 2. The car came with a 76' headlight assembly which Ireplaced for the correct year. I replaced the hood hinges but apparently they are chinese crap. I primered most of the car a month ago, then gave it a quicky wet sand. There is still more than 1/2 a gallon of primer left. For a driver the body is probably good enough, and that'sall I had planed for it. I have never looked over all the trim. If I remember correctly the fella I bought it from said it needed either front or back window trim.
INTERIOR; Good driver quality. I haven't spent much time in it to pick it a part. I does have what looks like a dash cap. It does need cleaned.
DRIVE TRAIN; Another area I haven't focused on too much. It has a 400 that has been upgraded for performance. The number on the front of the block is 4X. And the heads are 6X. It does have HEI. I replaced the aluminum intake and Holley(ran good but shaker rubbed the hood)with a stock intake and a fresh rebuilt (but not set) quadrajet. Because the carb has not been set the car barely runs it needs to be tuned by someone who knows how, not me. I was going to trailer it to my guy once I was ready. Any way, The motor has a lope to it from the higher than stock lift cam. I was told there are other performance features in the motor but I can't remember and I am not going to make stuff up. It has headers and a newer exhaus, it is loud. I was told the automatic transmission. had a fresh rebuild and was still under warranty when I bought it. The rear end is out of a newer TA (79-81). It has rear disk brakes.
As is usually the case I am asking a lot less than I have in it. I believe all parts are here except for 1 set of window trim. Selling the 76' head light panel will cover that. All parts pictured will be included. There is no warranty.
I had more pictures but I was limited. If you have something specific you want more clarity on, email your contact info and I'll have my son send a quicky with his fancy phone starting 3-28-16.
If you have questions please ask. I prefer to keep it all email so there is documentation and no confusion.
We're only a couple of miles off theinterstate. We can see that it gets loaded. Other than that, it's up to the buyer, especially with the extra parts. US bidders only!!
