Up for sale is a true 1970 Plymouth Road Runner RM23 car—factory red, 383, manual floor-shift car with an 8¾ rear end. The fender tag is missing, but the VIN is correct and matches the body. The VIN isRM23N0A178152
This is a serious project car. The interior was completely stripped out long ago. The bucket seats currently in it are said to be from a late ’60s Firebird. There’s no transmission installed. The engine looks to be a 383, but I haven’t run the numbers—assume nothing is matching until verified.
The car rolls and steers easily, making it ready to load on a trailer. I do not have keys. It’s missing both doors, the hood, the trunk lid, and quarter panels need to be replaced to complete the exterior. That said, it’s still a solid base for someone wanting to restore a real RM23 Road Runner.
For the right deal, I’m willing to include a large stash of extra parts—Satellite, Road Runner, and GTX components—interior and exterior. Some of these pieces are getting hard to find, and this would give you a major head start on a restoration.I don’t have the exterior sheet metal or correct seats however
