1972 Plymouth Satellite Rare Options

This is it !!! The starting point for your next, or maybe first, classic muscle car era build. This particular car used to run around on the car show and street meet circuits in Houston back in the 1990’s and also has a clear Texas title. It was never a hot rod in this time, but a neat cruiser, with some usually unseen original equipment. These include factory air conditioning which still has the air box, control panel, and vents in place. The motor that comes with the car has the factory AC compressor along with all brackets. A condenser, lines and drier should be all that is needed to round out the system. Additionally it has a functioning tilt steering wheel which is very unusual to find on a 1972 Satellite or most any Plymouths or Dodges of this vintage. Probably the most unique option found is a rear window defroster which is all there, from the dash control to the trunk deck mounted heater and blower motor, feed hose and rear deck disbursement louver !!!

There are a number of extras that are also included besides just the body and interior. Starting with a complete 383 HP motor, which has an original Carter AVS carb, all accessories and brackets on the front of the motor including the afore mentioned AC compressor and brackets. Even the original HP exhaust manifolds are in place, which sell for $800.00 a pair used for JUST the manifolds. The motor and all accessories are from a 1968 Charger, and ran well when pulled a couple of years ago to perform a Gen 3 Hemi install. The matching transmission from the 1968 Charger is also included, and according to the previous owner had less then 1,000 miles on the rebuild. Included also is the 8 ¾” rear end and springs from the Charger. The center case in the rear is a 742 with a sure grip, which is the strongest and most desirable of all the center cases in 8 3/4” family.

As far as the body goes, there’s been a fair amount of body work done, some of it great and some not so great. A new trunk floor has been installed and numerous repairs to a number of other areas. There are also new front and rear windshields’ in place over the course of the past few years.

There are a number of parts included with this, as pictured in the photos, and I’m sure others which I haven’t pulled out yet. I will include anything else I can find for it with the purchase. This is an extremely good opportunity for lucky new owner, as there just aren’t that many of these vintage rides around anymore, especially with all the options and items this one has. So don’t be that guy that 3 months from now is saying “I should have bought that Satellite !!!”
