1971 Plymouth Barracuda

Up for auction is my 1971 Plymouth Barracuda project. It is a BH23G1B car. I've had this car and a clear title in my name since 2016. For the most part,it has sat since I bought it and I am too busy with other projects. I realized I will not get to it anytime soon,so it's time to thin the herd and give someone else an opportunity to own and restore it.The car has matching dash vin tag,cowl and core support numbers,but there is no fender tag or buildsheet. This car is a blank canvas to build a hemi or 440 six barrel car with,as it is already a non a/c car. Or possibly a restomod with a modern hemi. It is also a factory manual floor shift 3 or 4 speed car with an open 8-3/4" rear end,power steering and disc brakes up front. I had intentions of having a black interior in the car and had the buckets and rear seat done with new foam and covers from Legendary interiors.
It has the typical e-body rust in the trunk pan,lower quarters,rear framerails,floorpans,etc.The torsion bar crossmember and front framerails are solid. The roof drip rails are nice on both sides. I have taken over 100 photos that can be viewed through the link provided below. The guy I bought the car from replaced some of the sheetmetal with AMD pieces. They are as follows.Front and rear valances,inner fenders,radiator core support,cowl top,door hinges,front bumper and brackets and rear bumper.It has a nice grille and new fender gills.The doors open and close nicely with no sag. All the glass is in it and the windows roll up and down.The car does not come with an engine or transmission.
That is a summary of the car as I know it. It needs work,as most do,but it is a 1971 with a clear title and tags and that makes it worth the time and money restoring it. These 71's are getting harder and harder to find and I don't see projects up for sale very often. I was looking for almost two years before I found this one. The car rolls and steers,but does not have working brakes. The car is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is required. I am open to offers.
