For sale is a 1970 PLYMOUTH SPORT SATELLITE 2 door hardtop original motor, mileage car, in rare yellow/green color combination. Car is a 3-speed automatic with the 2-bbl 318 cid V8 motor. Built in St Louis, this car is one of the 8,749 produced that year, but likely one of the handful left in original condition.
I am the 2nd owner; my father was the first and bought it off the Plymouth delivery truck at Adams Motor Company in Lynchburg VA in July 1970. I purchased it from him in 1983. Mileage is actual. Car came with factory air but the compressor no longer works. All AC parts still in place. Car has original power brakes and power steering. This is a matching numbers car and I can attest to most of the service work performed over the past 50 years. No power windows or power seats. Car is basically original with a few after-market service parts and OEM parts from a minor refresh I performed in the early 1990’s. Includes the two original keys and Owner’s Manual. Extra parts go with the sale, including the original 4 hubcaps (the current wheels came off a 1971 Roadrunner), the original AM radio,other smaller components, and various service manuals. Front upholstery is original and shows its age. I have had aftermarket set covers on the front seats since the 1980s. The rear seats are in great shape but for one small burn mark that is concealed by the lap belt. Oh, and the original broadcast sheet is still under there tucked in the springs! Trunk and wheel wells have minor rust (after all, it is a Plymouth).
This car has been garage kept and is currently insured and tagged.
PLEASE NOTE: This car recently had a new radiator installed and the work is incomplete. Car operated before work was started in late 2018. I am unable to complete the work at this time and have priced this vehicle accordingly for someone to complete the installation and have an instant daily driver or project car.
