1972 Plymouth Satellite --

Offering plenty of curb appeal and featuring a solid, straight body draped in a high impact shade, this 1972 Plymouth Satellite is an outstanding representative of its model in the midst of its eye-catching third generation. It drives nicely and is running strong, propelled by a vital small block beneath its hood that's been enhanced with some great upgrades to increase its capabilities. This sharp Plymouth now wears a vibrant rendition of purple and the exterior... really injects visual energy into its lengthy but agile form, providing a thoroughly convincing early '70s muscle car vibe. The magnetic hue is sure to entice passersby to stop and take a lengthy look, and the overall condition of the exterior will keep them staring. The paint has quite a shine to it and you won't find any serious blemishes to detract its magic - a simple buffing session would also elevate the accompanying chrome, which appears to be original, to top form and max out this classic's appearance. The subtly inclined stance frames the futuristic shape of the Satellite to perfection - the model received a fairly thorough revamping the year before this '72 debuted and you can see why the resulting aesthetics made it such a coveted ride. The black vinyl top that crowns the front portion of the roofline is also in good shape. The interior remains in its factory configuration and makes for an enticing vintage driving environment. As you climb inside, you can see some areas that will require a little attention - particularly the instrumentation, which presents well behind a nice clear lens, but will need a going over to get back online - but, just as is the case with the exterior, the classic MoPar feeling emanating from inside the doors is unmistakable. Both rows of black vinyl bench seating are looking solid, the door panels are in matching condition and the dash pad, likely original, has yet to develop any marked issues, which is always a welcome sight in UV-sensitive black upholstery. There's plenty of room on hand in the trunk and with the deck lid open you can see that the inner fenders and wheelhouses are very solid, though the carpet lining the floor could use a replacement. This stylish cruiser left the factory with air conditioning already on board, and it shouldn't take much to have the feature back up and running. This Plymouth is ready to hit the road just as soon as you get it home. It's reassuringly road ready, with a 318 cubic inch V8 standing by underneath the hood that's been fortified with an aftermarket intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel carb as it sits in a razor sharp engine compartment - it no doubt took a lot of work to get things looking as impressive as they are. Not only do the inner fenders and firewall wear color-matched paint, but even the power booster is decked out in the same fashion. The powerplant sends out a smooth, but commanding exhaust note as it teams with a 3-speed automatic transmission, while a recently replaced gas tank ensures it receives an untainted supply of fuel. Power steering makes this substantial ride easy to navigate, while power brakes at both ends bring nice, easy stops to a set of staggered American Racing Torq Thrust wheels - 14" in front and 15" in back - wearing Mastercraft tires. A stylish and solid MoPar classic is always a welcome sight and this 1972 Plymouth Satellite is sure to bring smiles to both owner and onlookers for miles and miles to come. Call today!
