1939 Plymouth Pickup 24986 Miles Maroon Pickup Truck Inline-6 3-Speed Manual
1939 Plymouth Pickup --
As a business, Dodge started out as a parts supplier to Ford and other automobile manufacturers. Soon the pistol-packing John and Horace Dodge leveraged their reputation of supplying high-quality, reliable products into a full manufacturing concern, producing their first automobile in 1914. In 1929, a year after being bought by Chrysler, Dodge introduced its first half-ton pickup truck. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this 1939 Plymouth Pickup for your consideration. This low production pickup is powered... by its 6 cylinder engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. The truck runs and handles very well for its age. We just recently had the wheel cylinders rebuilt, carburetor rebuilt, new fuel pump, and flushed the cooling system. The gas gauge/speedometer and odometer appear to be non functioning. Upon taking it for a cruise we saw that the factory voltage, oil pressure and temperature gauges appeared to work. The truck rides on 16 inch bias ply tires on factory steel wheels. The truck has a new headliner, door panels. The bench seat and floormat are in excellent condition. The truck appears to be all steel and is very solid. Inside the bed and inside the cab we left it "raw" looking to show how solid it is and has nothing to hide. This is a good honest old truck. Enjoy it the way it is or bring it to the next level.
