Here's a reasonably priced solid 1969 Sport Satellite 2 door hardtop 383 2bbl project that needs total restoration. Was in a barn in Colorado plains for many years. Factory yellow, black vinyl top with black interior and air conditioning. Its a really solid car, mainly complete.
since this is a project car, here's a summary of what is Rust Free on the car and will not need fixing:
all Frame railsentire Floors- yellow cars look the worst with surface rust, floors have no visible rust holes.Trunk - not including drop offs. looks rusty its not, just surface rust very solid.FirewallInner fenders- see pics, No rust behind hood hingesfront windshield channelDecklid - has a few dents, rust free from New Mexico parts carrear decklid surround channeloriginal passenger doorreplacement passenger fender- has bondo front 12 inches from New Mexico parts car.excellent not pitted 2 door vent windowsentire bottom of car is dry as a bone, not factory undercoated.column automatic car, steering column and all shifter hardware is hooked up and looks original.8 3/4 rear end, springs, etc all look original.front suspension looks all original, had power manual brakes, power steering.
Areas that need work:
driver fender is rust free but is dented in center and has bondo.performance hood has damage on top, bondo, not fitting, probably needs replacement. no inserts.almost all rust holes found on this car is from mice when this car sat in barn. these areas include passenger quarter lower next to door jamb, door jamb front and back (these need just patching), small hole on side of driver cowl adjacent door.rear window channel has a few rust holes. both quarters appear to have been hit at some time and bondo applied at repair. both rear quarter drops have rust.Interior- has complete set of front bucket seats (cores) and back seats (original to car). headliner falling apart, entire dash assembly looks complete and never out of car. padded glovebox door, etc looks good, all other soft materials need replacement, door panels, etcoriginal driver door missing so put one on from the yard. it needs replacement but looks complete as to hardware, etc.no visible rust on roof but looks like prior owner fixed a dent or two on the roof with a lot of bondo.no windshield. has 383 motor with headers, motor is stuck, plan on replacement. front suspension looks all original, had power manual brakes, power steering.would have come with GTX grille and decklid tail panel trim, now has satellite grille and deckled.both bumpers have dentsmissing nearly all air conditioning parts from firewall forward, only what's in pic. a/c heater box in car.
Overall car looks rough but has good bones. would make a nice car to restore or make into anything you want. Please email with any questions before bidding. Buyer will be provided with a Colorado Bill of Sale.
