1951 Plymouth 4 Door Sedan

I have up for sale a 1951 Plymouth 4 door sedan. According to the vin # it could either be a Cambridge or Cranbrook. I am not sure how to determine which model it is! This belonged to a friend of mine that used to live in California. He retired and moved back to North Dakota and brought the car back with him. He recently passed away and i bought the car from the estate. He did occasionaly drive it but it has been sitting now for a quite a few years. The engine is a flathead 6 cyl. with a 3 speed manual transmission. I have not tried to start the engine but it does turn over and seems to have good compression. If I get time in the next few days I may try and get it started and will post the results here! The interior has been disassembled some as he was in the process of redoing that. I think most of the parts are there except one back window trim. I will be looking for that along with the mouldings that go on the front fender and rear quarter. The outside appears to have had primer sprayed on it to preserve it. The rear bumper and filler plate were in the trunk so I just attached it with two bolts. I did remove some carpet that had been installed over the years and did find some rust through on the driver and passenger front floor pans. (See pictures). It appears the windshield or door weatherstriping must have leaked allowing water to sit there and eventually cause the rust through. I did not find any other areas with rust through. The tires are weatherchecked but do hold air. If you have any questions or need additional pictures please email. I prefer local pickup but if shipping is needed buyer must make own arrangements. Seller will assist with loading etc. This would make a nice Rat Rod project or restore to its original condition!
