Every classic car should have a story, and this one definitely has! After sitting for over 40 years in a barn (Palestine, TX), it was acquired by J.E. "Buggs" Threadgill - Texas drag races, record holder, builder and muscle car enthusiast. You can google him.
This car has undergone 3 year extensive complete restoration under his supervision, and unfortunately, was the last car he has restored as he passed away in January 2018 (the restoration was completed in December 2017).
I have acquired this car from his wife and daughter and details about this gem are below:
Completely restored - not a speck of rust or bondo. The car contains all original sheet metal
15930 Original miles - Yes, that is correct (I was nearly floored when they told me and saw the odometer that has not been reset - just refurbished) - however, the title will read EXEMPT due to its age
273 2bbl Engine (however, the car carries Commando V8 insignia on front fenders - I cannot confirm if they are original to the car)
4 Speed manual transmission
The engine runs smoothly with no hesitation, knocks, smoke etc.
At this point it has approximately 210 shake off miles (the mileage will increase as I drive frequently)
No leaks, noises, does not overheat nor burn oil/coolant
Has nice rumble, but it is not loud
The interior is spotlessHas modern working radio
The car will come with receipts in excess of $9K
It will also come with original manual
It will also come with original Chrysler Car Production Broadcast Sheet that I was able to salvage (I believe it belongs to this car)
It will also come with copy of the Newspaper article from 50's when "Buggs" Threadgill broke the drag racing speed record
The car is registered, insured and will come with clear/clean TX title in my name
Overall, this is gem of a car, and in reality, it is a brand new 53 year old car.

The car is sold as is where is with no warranty implied or offered
There is small ($100) non-refundable deposit required at the end of auction and pick up can be discussed - I will work with you or your transporter. The car is and will be safely stored in my enclosed garage.
The accepted form of payments are either cash upon pick up or wire transfer (no paypal!) If you wish to pay with certified check, it will have to clear my bank before the title and car is released.
