1956 Plymouth Fury Chrome and Gold Anidized

This 56 Fury was purchased in early 1957 and was my very first car, and it had super low mileage,
I took this beautiful gold and white beauty to many weekend car shows and it won many trophies.
I decided to find how it performed by taking it to the Garden Spot Lancaster Drag strip. It defeated ever car in it's class. Later I took it to the York US 30 Drag-strip and it was fastest in it class every time and I won sever more trophies. I received information from our local Plymouth dealer that they company was not offering a special package for the 56 Fury, It was a aluminum manifold, 45 pounds lighter then the original and 2/ 4 Bll carburetors, special air cleaners, linkage, gas lines, special cam and lifters. My decision to order that and have the dealer install it made a world of difference!!!!!!!!!
The car ran smooth and much much quicker. At just 17 years old and going to mechanic trade school the car and the appearance under the hood matched the beautiful super polished and waxed paint on the outside of the Fury.
(see early photos of car with trophy's and gold competition stripes and gold wheel covers). In about late 1962 I found a beautiful 59 Sport Fury with Golden Commando engine and super low mileage. So I traded the 56 Fury in on the 59 Sport Fury. In about 1990 I found an old Pennsylvania owners card for my ole 56 Fury. Since I live in Harrisburg, Pa which is the capitol city, I drove to the downtown area where the state capitol is located and went to Penn Dot (Pennsylvania Department Of Transportation and showed them the owners card and numbers. Their records showed the Fury had three owner since I owned it. They gave me
the current owners name and address and I called him and asked if I could come see the car. He said "Sure you can but it is not for sale." He said it was a few months ago but I decided to keep it.
Well after my wife and I driving to see the Fury my wife and I and the owner wife and him talked cars and Fury's for a good two hours and I showed him two big photo books full of the Fury photos when I had it. It was my first love of my life back then.
The owner and his wife left the room and went into the kitchen for a few minutes. When the came back in the room he said "We decided you love the Fury more then we do, and my wife remind me I have three other collector cars, lol. I bought the Fury and on the way home I knew my dream came true and I felt like I was a teenager.!!!!!! I managed to find and oldie radio station and that was the icing on the cake.
Soon I was taking the Fury to car shows and cruises with my wife and everybody seem to love it especially the Mopar guys. Year after year we enjoyed the car and it seem to go up in value, but at the same time my wife and myself seem to notice our health seemed to be really going in the other direction.
So we were going to some car shows but not taking the Fury. You see Pennsylvania is a hot state and the Fury did not have air condition. The car just sat in the garage under our home and was not be taken out very often. My wife and I decided it was time to pass the Fury on to some one younger that would love and enjoy the beautiful car.
Everything on the Fury works, It just had brand new brake shoes and cylinder and passed Pennsylvania very strick inspection. I still have both intake manifold, the original cast iron, and the Plymouth special order super pack aluminum manifold, carbs, linkage, gas lines and air cleaners, they all go with the car.

AFTER THOUGHTS---The car has small separation at the seam of the front passenger seat top which needs stitched shut. Seat is not torn at all, just open seam for about 4 inches'
Headliner has two 2 inch tears and should probably be replaces.
