Description:

1974 Plymouth Duster

Great car for anyone who wants to get hoots and hollered at while driving down the road or wants a fun car to take around to shows in the area, or just to take on long enjoyable rides.

Great detail has been put in to this car with complete stripping and sandblasting throughout before being painted. Exceptional finish in Hemi orange, rebuilt rear end with 3:50 gear ratio. The engine is a 340cid with a factory Hurst 4 speed. It has Edlebrock alum heads (202's), milled cam, .30 over pistons, chrome Molly rings, high volume oil pump, oversize oil pan (holds 8-10 quarts, can't remember), Edlebrock Performer high rise intake, Headers, Edlebrock 750cfm carb, a MSD ignition box, and trickle charger.
The front end has been rebuilt with new bushings, new shocks and sway bars, and a new pitman arm.

The car has front disc brakes and a new stainless-steel fuel tank and accompanying parts. The exhaust pipes were also replaced this past year. The headliner has been replaced within the fast couple years. The dash has been replaced to be a modern brushed aluminum look. The heating system was rebuilt with replacement seals and foam this past summer. The starter ignition has been moved to be a push button under the dash for security (and fun). Molded carpeting, headlights, and seatbelts being replaced this past year. Full interior was removed and cleaned this past summer. The car has a built in Alpine stereo with a 250 amp power booster, 6x9 speakers mounted under the dash and in the rear deck. This car originated in California where the previous owner used to live and it is stated on the copy of the previous WI title (Now the car is titled in Illinois.) The body restoration was done over 10 years ago but has only been driven less than 5500 miles since then. Always stored indoors with a car cover. The rims were special ordered and took 6 months to get manufactured from Centerline to accommodate the largest widest tires possible. The tires have less than 500 miles on them.

Other small adjustments have been made to the car, and overall it drives quite well. The only things I recall that are a bit off with the car is that the glovebox is for looks (doesn't open), the fuel gauge doesn't read correctly, and there are a couple small dents in the one door which you may be able to see in the video or photos. But overall fun car to take around on the weekend or to add to your collection. I have taken the car on 100+mile rides and the only issue I ever had was when the throttle spring slipped off (which I replaced with a new stainless still one). I also have a number of pieces of equipment that will go with that car (original wheels, Edlebrock tuning guide, various replacement seals etc.).

Overall I have loved the car and hate to see it go, but time to move onto the next project and let someone enjoy her as she is meant to be enjoyed.
