Background and Specs
I bought this car in September 1989 in Alabama. I traced the history on it and as best I know I am the 3rd owneras the car was pulled out of storage in the late 80's and I restored in 1989.The car sat from 70 to 89. It is true matching number car front to back, body, engine, trans, rear end. The only spot of mud in the body is the back right quarter. The quarter was repairable and better than cutting in a new one.The interior seat covers had been replaced prior to me buying the car and the build sheet that is typically located on the bottom back seat was missing. That's ok because the finder tag plate under the hood tells you about the same as the build sheet would.
Decoded fender tag that can be verified using the 1969 Service Manual and and Registry Certificate included with the sale of the car are as followed:

This is a basic Road Runner and is called by Mopar buffs a Plain Jane. While the outside is loaded with the performance hood paint package, white reflective body stripe, red line tires and chrome exhaust tips, the inside is what they call, Taxi Cab Interior. Bench seat and no back arm rests in the back seat area.
No power steering, no power brakes, not even a glove box light or trunk light that was part of the inexpensive light package. It's basically a no frills muscle car that looks good on the outside and the inside came with all you need to have fun being a seat, a steering wheel and a 4 speed. The am radio is a bonus. This makes it a unique Mopar.
As part of the restore all new shocks, springs, upper and lower ball joints, new front grill, headliner, carpet, front interior door skins and restored all the window chrome and tail light bezels. Also restored plastic chrome around the instrument cluster on the interior. New wiring under the hood and some under the dash. In 2002 I put new brakes all around again and added new new stainless exhaust from the factory manifolds to tips, new steering gear, and rebuilt the heater box with a new core, new clutch and rebuilt the rear end once again.
I have a wall of trophies from showing this car. Depending on the field of competition you are going to walk away with at least a 2nd place if not first, even if it's an all Mopar show. Factory hose clamps, hoses, and battery. I've kept the car stock for this purpose and it shows well. The only thing that is noticeable is the blue alternator regulator that comes with the electronic ignition. This is an air grabber car. The tires are Firestone red lines not Goodyear as Goodyear was not reproducing them when I restored the car and they are in still good condition. The undercarriage is undercoated. It is a driver, not a trailer wagon.
This is a nice car. Looks good, drives well and is mechanically sound. Reason for me selling?--I've had my fun and I'm retired now so I'm starting to downsize my stock of play toys. I want to get this car back into the hands of someone that will enjoy it, show it, and drive it as long as I have. It's a great Mopar.
