1969 Plymouth Road Runner --

This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is everything you love about Mopar muscle, and it has been invested in to have even more attitude put into the mix. The big and original 383 V8, four-speed stick, and growling exhaust turn this lovable cartoon character into the aggressor... and you wouldn't want it any other way. The upgrade to modern burgundy metallic is a great way to represent this coupe. It had a comprehensive restoration about a decade ago, and they paid... for quality. So the paint still has a terrific sparkle in the sunlight, and it has deep tones in the moonlight. And the black pinstripes add to this feeling of sophistication. But it's not just the color that gives it this classic its allure. There has been an investment in keeping this car straight with terrific sheetmeal and doors that close with authority. And you can tell someone spent real money getting those big chrome bumpers to be mirror-like. But while this Road Runner has proper presentation, it never forgets its performance attitude. You see it in the hood twist locks and performance hood with dual snarling vents. This overall attitude of fast with class best comes together on the iconic and bright Cragar SS wheels. The black vinyl interior pairs well with the burgundy, and it's always great when a pinstripe is a preview of the interior color. The condition of the bucket seats instantly reminds you that someone made sure all the essentials were preserved correctly, and if not, correctly replaced. These were midsize muscle cars of the day, but that designation in the '60s means full-size comfort today. So there's plenty of room to have up to four family and friends riding with you, but you don't need any of them to have fun with this Road Runner. It feels like a driver's car from the moment you grab the factory three-spoke wheel with Road Runner character in the center. Beyond that is a long full gauge package, including the factory tach (it goes particularly well with the Hurst shifter.) Sure, you could have fun playing with the upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo, but really we know you'll be all about turning the key and creating a rumbling soundtrack with the dual exhaust. Road Runners are meant to be muscle machines, and so it's especially nice to see the engine bay filled with its original numbers-matching 383 cubic-inch V8. This was born a four-barrel car with the cool air-grabber hood (and most of those components come with the sale.) And the only way to improve on this is to install the iconic Six-Pack on top of this big block. We also have receipts documenting plenty $$$$ spent in on this V8. That's why that big Six Pack air topper is surrounded by a tidy engine bay that you'll be proud to show off. And more than just look great, the big block has been enhanced with a triple set of Holley dual-barrel carburetors, an Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and a wicked set of long tube headers. That means a desirable muscle machine that's bringing even more power to the streets. And you have complete control over the enhanced power and its thunderous growl thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. This feeds a 3.55 limited slip rear end, for the best in all-around driving. And when you add in the thick front sway bar and grip of wide BF Goodrich rubber, this is a very capable muscle machine. The sale comes with some great documentation, including the original window sticker, bill of sale, factory buildsheet, and restoration receipts. That way you can see just how correct this coupe is, and how much was invested in keeping it so nice. This Road Runner has true distinction, and it's going fast. Call today!!!
