Description:

1989 Plymouth Colt DL

Rare and very unique wagon.
Make an offer.
This car will hold it's value and probably go up in value.
You could drive it for 10 years and get more than you paid for it.

Perfect wagon for the college-bound student.
4-cylinder; great gas mileage; plenty of room; not too fast; built like a tank; unique; cool looking; one of a kind.
FWDUp to 37.3 mpg with peppy 1.5 liter engine.VERY fun to drive. Very responsive and peppy.Believe it or not, this car can reach 100 mph (I did it once just to prove that it could do it).
EASILY cruises at 70-80 mph on the freeway.
Drive it anywhere . in fact. I'll drive it to you; that's how dependable that it is*
Drove up from Florida several years ago. Winters in New Mexico. Currently in Michigan.
New timing belt (11 miles on it).
New windshield.
New front tires. Back tires are off of the car right now as I am putting new tires on the back rims; space-saver spare tires are on the rear for now.
Florida car
Automatic
1. 5 liter engineNo power options.
Original (working) radio.
AC not working / not sure why as it was working / compressor not kicking on
Been setting in Michigan since 2013 and I just got around to having it fixed.
Never seen snow.
Was dripping transmission fluid in driveway so I parked it and just got around to having four new seals put in it (two CV joint seals; pump seal; rear main seal). Had the timing belt changed too.
Two mysterious dents on passenger side door. at the bottom. Have no idea how they got there.
No passenger side mirror (yet). For some reason. many of these Colts did not come with a passenger side mirror from the factory -- they were made this way. I have a 2nd Colt wagon and it does not have a passenger side mirror either.
I have no idea if it will pass emissions as we do not have emissions in my part of Michigan or New Mexico. It puffs out white smoke at startup (from water condensation in the exhaust pipe; not from water in the engine) but it goes away in a few minutes. There is not any oil or water mixing.
I just decided to sell it and wanted to get it on Ebay while it was fresh in my mind.
It's so dependable that I'll deliver it to you if you include a cheap return plane ticket (probably under $200).
Would consider a van: Ford Transit. VW Eurovan. Vanagon. Dodge Caravan. Nissan Quest. Honda. Toyota etc. in trade.
