Description:
1969 Plymouth Road Runner
Up for sale is our 1969 Plymouth Road Runner factory 383 4 speed hardtop. Sporting an older body-up restoration (approx 15 years ago), this Road Runner is 'stunning' with it's B5 blue paint and white interior. The car has only had two owners since 1998. Over $30K in receipts accompanies the sale of this car. Documented by Galen Govier and registered in the Chrysler Registry. Having owned multiple restored Mopars, I'm amazed at the cleanliness and presentation of this older restoration. This car has been driven and enjoyed by both the previous owner and myself since the restoration has been completed. You can see by the engine bay pic's, meticulous attention to detail and care was displayed when the car was restored. The NOM 383 engine sports factory 'dress' as you can see, but contains Keith Black 9.5:1 pistons (pump gas), a Mopar 509 camshaft, electronic ignition and Carter AFB 4bbl carburetor. It's worth the time to check out the video below so you can hear the 'lumpy' idle compliments of the Flowmaster equipped dual exhaust! The numbers matching A833 4-speed transmission shifts effortlessly and looks wonderful under the car transferring power to a factory 8 3/4" 3.55 Sure-Grip rear end. The interior of the car presents very well. The seats are sporting Legendary skins and look superb! Care was taken with attention to detail and everything inside was either replaced or professionally reconditioned. JimTech in Michigan was sourced to emulate a factory appearance on the finishes. Check out the dash/gauges! After all, when you're driving and enjoying an old muscle car, it's very refreshing to have a cosmetically pleasing and fully functional cluster. The outside of the car presents itself well. The paint does not show it's age! It is very worthy of a hand buff/wax and is not ridden with scratches or rub marks! Very capable, in my opinion, of taking a local car show! It does have a small 'chip' on top of the right rear quarter panel (shown in pic). To be fair, the car presents itself very well, the bright work is in great shape and you'd have to start 'nit-picking' to find other blemishes. When checking out the underside pic's, remember, this car has not been rotisserie restored! It started out as a pretty solid car! The rear quarters and trunk panels were swapped out for new metal so there wouldn't be any unsightly 'blemishes' coming through later. Super stock rear springs along with new Magnum 500 wheels housing 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's give this bird a superb stance! Thanks for taking the time to check out the Runner! Be sure and take another minute or two to link the videos below! The car is advertised through other venues and could be sold at any time.
