Description:
1964 Plymouth Belvedere 472 Hemi Wagon
If your an introvert, this car is not for you because you will get some attention. This car is a beast. This Plymouth Belvedere Wagon spent most of it's life in California. It retains all of it's original sheet metal with factory applied undercoat and very little body work to make this car arrow straight. The gray exterior and turquoise/teal interior contrast each other well. The interior has very few flaws. The bottom left corner of the drivers seat has a small hole. Not visible unless you look for it. The rear portion of the headliner has a pushed in area above the tailgate. There was a tachometer mounted on the underside of the dash pad so there are two holes from the screws but have to look for it. Other than that, the interior is very nice. The mileage is 76880 and is believed to be original. Judging by the overall condition of the body, I wouldn't doubt it but, can't prove it.The motor was built by Dave Dudek, roughly ten years ago. It is a newer 472 block with aluminum Indy heads and valve covers. Mopar crossram intake and Holley race carbs top it off. There are no chokes so, as you would expect, it is cold blooded until warmed up, which takes a minimum of 5 minutes. It has a big cam with roller rockers (Comp Cam) so, it does not idle smoothly but idles better than normal for a Crossram induction system. It was dynoed at 650HP. It has an 8qt Milodon oil pan, electronic ignition with an MSD-6A box, solid lifters, roller rockers, B-cool radiator, Optima battery. The list goes on and on. There is well over 30K in the motor alone. It all sits on a Hemi Road Runner K member with disc brakes.
The transmission is a TKO 600 5 speed with a Keisler 5 speed conversion. It also has a hydraulic 4 puck clutch, all connected to a Dana 60 rear with 4:10 gears. Final drive ration is 3:36. Super stock rear springs and torsion bars.
Exhaust is 3 inch connected to coated 2 piece headers
Wheels are Rockets with newer tires.
This is not your every day, "average" car and therefore takes some skill to drive. The motor is mechanically sound with good (80psi) oil pressure. The carbs do require syncing and minor adjustments as expected with a race engine. I'm not an expert regarding Hemi's so I'm not messing with it. The fuel in the car is the best I could find in my area (93 octane with ethanol). I added a bottle of Lucas octane booster. I would think better fuel would benefit this engine.
I have two folders of paperwork on this car. The money invested in this car is outrageous but, it is one of a kind for sure. I currently have storage, time and resource issues so, I am parting with 4 of my Mopars. I have a very nice Sublime 1970 Challenger RT/SE 383, 4spd, air / 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite 383 4spd, air, company car (1 of 26) / 1974 Plymouth Space Duster, 12600 original miles, 318 auto, sunroof, foldown rear seat, disc brakes.
This car (Belvedere) is sold as is, as shown. I haven't owned this vehicle very long. I did not build this car so I may not have all of the answers to your questions but, I will do my best. I drove the car home months ago (15 miles) and it's been parked since. It needs to be run and driven. My plan was to de-tune the motor to make it more "streetable"
Sold with a Bill of Sale. That is all that is required in New Hampshire. I do have the Title from the previous owner which goes with the car.
