1967 belvedere gtx hemi mopar
1967 Plymouth GTX
Up for sale is a 1967 belvedere. It has the GTX hood, flip open gas door, correct grill and 150 mph speedo. This is acar that Itook in on tradeso I do not know a lot about its history but here is everything I know.According to the vin (see photo) number it started life as a 383 4bbl 4 speed car. The 4 speed hump is still there as is the clutch pedal. It now has a 1st generation 331 hemi with dual quads, built 727 tran, and a slightly narrowed 8-3/4 rear axle with locker, and a line lock brake.Car has had a mini tub jobso there is no back seat.Original front seats are gone and now has a set of racing buckets that are not bolted to the floor. Car has a 6 point roll cage in it.Some nice subframe connectors are on the car.
This car runs and drives and has a lot of power. It can be driven on the street very easy withthe addition of acomplete exhaust system. Car now has exhaust manifolds and a straight pipe on each side and that's it. (very loud). I drove it today and it needs front shocks very badly. With a new exhaust, shocks and street tires this car would make a great streetcar.
This car is very solid for its age and the body is reasonably straight. All frame rails, rockers, lower quarters are all rust free. There is some rust on the lower trunk extensions on both sides but the outside of the car seems very solid. There is some surface rust on the floors in spots and there was a small rust patch done years ago on the drivers floor. (see picture). I do not have the exterior molding pieces that go on the upper body lines. You can see the holes in the photos where they used to be.
Engine was built by HOTHEADS and have a folder of receipts from there for machine work and parts.
