Not your cookie cutter small block chevy hot rod here.
Small block Mopar 340 engine with a genuine Chrysler 6-pack intake setup. Backed by a 4-speed manual transmission leading to an 8 3/4 Mopar rear end. Even the seats in this car came out of a Mopar. New water pump on the engine. Long tube fenderwell style headers lead to dual exhaust with newer mufflers. An aluminum Howe radiator provides adequate cooling.
This car was built quite a few years ago. The last paint job done around 12 years ago. This car is a driver. Drive it while you make it your own.
The front suspension is an aftermarket Mustang II setup with tubular upper and lower control arms with disk brakes. It has power rack and pinion steering. The power brake booster is mounted under the car on the frame rail. The rear frame rails have been narrowed to fit the wider rear tires. In the process of narrowing, the last digit of the factory vin on the frame was covered. Due to this, when it was bought and registered here in NC I was required to have a state issued VIN done for the car. It has a CLEAR state issued VIN and a clear matching North Carolina title. Ready to register anywhere.
The floor in the car is new from the firewall to the rear of the trunk. New lap belts and seats out of a later model dodge van in very nice condition. Wiring in also newer, no hacked up original wiring. All lights, flasher, signals, etc work like they should. Car runs, drives, and stops great.
Could use a repaint. The clear started flaking on the rear of the car and the trunk lid was sanded down by the previous owner. Needs gauge gauge and speedometer hooked up. Also needs door panels and carpet. The hard work is done, the foundation is there.
Please see the picture link at the very beginning of the ad for pictures of the engine casting number, intake part number and rear end casting number along with other high quality pictures of the car. Please enjoy the videos of the car posted below.

This car is in fact on 1949 Plymouth, although it is the 46-48 body style. The "new design" 1949s were not introduced until March of 1949. Up until that point, the 48 body style was carried over as an early production 1949. There were not many of these early model 1949s, but they do exist. Please do research before trying to advise me that my car is not what it actually is.
From Hemmings: "As they say in baseball, 1949 was a rebuilding year for Plymouth. It was two years behind the rest of the industry, considering that most post-war manufacturers had completely revamped their car lines as soon as possible after the final guns of World War II had fired. If you purchased an early 1949 Plymouth-one produced before March of 1949-you were actually purchasing a 1948 model. It wasn't until later in the year that 1949 Plymouths were completely revamped as entirely new cars."
