1969 Plymouth Satellite/Belvedere "ADAM-12" LAPD Tribute Car. This car is for the serious A-12 fan!!
The car has been used for LAPD, LA Police Museum and other law enforcement events around SoCal for the past 10 years. The car was displayed at the Peterson Automotive Museum, LA Live, LA Police Academy, Parker Center, LAPD Headquaters (PHF) and at several LAPD Division Stations.
Noteworthy items;
Has 1 of 4 known to still exist original LAPD 'Hot-Sheet Desk' installed. I bought the car just to get the desk!! If you know anything about these desks then you already know how rare and hard to obtain they are.
The inside of the front passenger door is autographed by Kent McCord, it reads "Kent McCord Officer Jim Reed ADAM-12", clear coated!! I took a photo of Mr. McCord signing it (included in sale).
It has a 1968 383 4V V8, 727 Trans, 323 Posi rear axle, front/rear sway bars, manual drum brakes & power steering. 815X15 Bias Plys (2 extra tires included). No spare wheels.
Valve covers leak oil, misc. oil leaks, needs front shoes (drums?) and rear axle seal. Spare (ready for overhaul) 1969 383 w/HP Heads & 727 included.
Admonishment; The City of Los Angeles Seal and markings of the Los Angeles Police Dept. are restricted use, permission must be granted prior to transfer or the markings must be removed per the LAPD, permission is not transferable!!
