1963 Plymouth BELVEDERE SEDAN
MOPAR LOVERS & BODYMEN.. For TLC Parts or Better 1963 PLYMOUTH BELVEDERE SEDAN I WAS TOLD THIS IS A SLANT 6 ENGINE ? THIS WAS BOUGHT FOR MY SON A FEW YEARS AGO. AND I HAVE HAD IT INSPECTED TWICE SINCE THEN AND DROPPED A COUPLE GRAND INTO IT ALONG WITH THE 2 GRAND AND TRADE IN THAT WAS ORIG SPENT ON IT BY AN EX AS A GIFT FOR MY SON..GOT RID OF THE EX. KEPT THE CAR.. ... WE ARE NOT CAR PEOPLE HERE.. ALL THE TIMES I HAD HER INSPECTED AND RUNNING I TOOK HER TO A CAR SHOP.. SHE HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A COUPLE YEARS THE LAST WORK THAT WAS DONT ON HER WAS NEW PLUGS AND WIRES AND 4 NEW TIRES.. THOUGH YOU WOULDNT KNOW FROM LOOKING AT THEM FLAT NOW.. I HAD THE BRAKES FIXED AND THE MECHANIC SAID.. "" I SAVED YOU $300" AND WAS ABLE TO FIX A PLUG ON THE BRAKES... SO WE HAD HER RUNNING... 4 NEW TIRES ON HER.. AND 17 MILES LATER, I WENT TO MOVE IN THE DRIVEWAY FOR THE GUY TO PLOW AND HAD NO BRAKES... SO DID HE REALLY SAVE ME $300?.... OR JUST SELL ME $400 IN NEW TIRES.. THEN I WENT THROUGH A BOUT OF CANCER AND WASNT ABLE TO PUT ANYMORE INTO HER... AS FAR AS THE BRKES.. I THINK THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD AIR IN THEM AND WERE NOT BLED PROPER OR THE PLUGS DIDNT HOLD... AT THAT TIME THE PADS WERE GOOD ECT.. MIGHT BE THE LINES.. EVERY TIME SHE HAS SAT FOR A GOOD PERIOD SHE STARTED RIGHT UP... SHE JUST NEEDS A MECHANIC THAT TINKERS WITH THESE OLD CARS...MOPAR GUY. AND SOMEONE THAT DOES BODYWORK... MY DAD WAS A BODYMAN... WISH HE WAS STILL AROUND... LAST TIME SHE WAS RUNNING THE TIMING WAS OFF.. THE MECHANIC DIDNT HAVE THE SPECS AND TIMED IT AND TIMED IT TO A 1967 IF I REMEMBER CORRECT.. I DID BUY A CD ONLINE THAT HAS ALL THE TIMING INFO AND SPECS FOR THIS 1963 AND MY SON SAYS THAT THAT CD THAT I PAID $35 IS STILL KICKING AROUND HERE.. I WILL TOSS THAT IN ALSO.. IN ADDITION I HAVE 2 ? ...I THINK...( AT LEAST ) STUDDED TIRES THAT I TOOK OFF WHEN I PUT THESE TIRES ON THE CAR... I AM FEMALE SELLING THE CAR.. MY SON STILL HASNT GOT HIS LISC. YET.. AND ISNT INTO WORKING ON CARS.. AND I AM GETTING READY TO MOVE FROM SYRACUSE TO ROCHESTER NEW YORK AND HAVE TO THIN OUT MY LIFE... SO HERE SHE IS.. I MAY HAVE A 1990 CHEVY VAN UP FOR BIDS ALSO VERY SOON.. I HAVE BEEN PAYING INSURANCE ON BOTH THESE CARS TO KEEP PLATES ON THEM SINCE I HAVE HAD THEM AND JUST TRYING TO MAKE BACK SOME OF THE PARKED INSURANCE MONEY THAT I HAVE INVESTED.. THE PLYMOUTH IS I BELIEVE ALL ORIGINAL. EXCEPT FOR THE RADIO..? AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY TWO MECHANICS THAT LAST INSPECTED HER.. THAT THE UNIBODY WAS STILL GOOD.. THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR BOARD WILL ALSO NEED SOME WORK AS DOES THE INTERIOR.. BUT AGAIN.. EVERY TIME I HAVE HAD SOMEONE AROUND.. TO JUMP HER AND HIT HER WITH A SHOT OF STARTER FLUID SHE STARTED UP.. WITH A LITTLE COAXING.. SELLING AS PARTS OR BETTER.. GIVING HER A RATING OF 65% BETTER / 35% PARTS THIS WILL ONLY BE IN MY LIFE TILL THE LAST WEEK IN OCTOBER. AFTER THAT IT WILL HAVE TO BE SOLD AT LOCAL AUCTION. IF I STILL HAVE INSURANCE ON THE CAR AT THE TIME OF SALE I CAN ARRANGE FOR A SHORT TOW. I BELIEVE.. NOT SURE HOW FAR MY FREE TOW ALLOWS FEEL FREE TO WRITE AND ASK. IN THE MEANTIME I WILL LOOK INTO THAT. IT MIGHT BE HELPFUL IF YOU CAN BRING AN AIR COMPRESSOR BEFORE SHE IS TOWED FOR THE TIRES . I HAVE A SMALL ONE HERE BUT IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO FILL THEM UP. I DO HAVE A SMALL JACK AND THERE IS A TIRE GARAGE RIGHT DOWN THE STREET..IF YOU SHOW UP IN A CAR I HAVE A LARGER TRUCK WE CAN TOSS THE TIRES INTO AND TRY TO GET 4 ROUND AGAIN.. OR JUST INCASE THE STUD TIRES NEED TO BE SWITCHED AND TOSSED ON TO GET HER TO A NEW LOCATION.. I AM HOPING SOMEONE FINDS HER. WE HAD ALOT OF FUN THE FEW TIMES THAT WE TOOK HER OUT.. SHE WAS STILL TURNING HEADS.. WE ALWAYS HAD DREAMS OF TURNING HER INTO A ""CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU?"" POLICE CAR... SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...Vehicle Details:
