1970 CUDA CONVERTIBLE REAL "U" CODE 440 4BBL 1 OF 28

Price: - Item location: East Aurora, New York, United States
Description:

1970 Plymouth Barracuda

This auction is for 1 factory original "U" code 1970 440 4bbl Cuda convertible. 1 of 28 factory built 440-4bbl automatic cars. There is currently acorrect hemi 4spd pistal grip trans in the car, but I do have the original automatic trans and shifter. The car has an older 80's paint job on the car but still looks good for a cruise night driver. the original tinted glass all around is nice.

Has the original power top and there are no rips in the top. Nice original back panels, no holes, cracks, or repairs.

The car runs well and is driven to cruise nights and parks as time allows, the problem, there is no time it seems any more. Running teenagers around to all their sports doesn't allow for much time for anything else, so I am reluctantly putting the car up for sale. It doesn't have to be sold, but rather than have it sit and something happen to it (bikes, scooters, hockey pucks, etc) I thoughtI'd see if someone was interested.

I also have a fairly large collection of rare NOS that could be sold to the person buying the car for an extra price if interested.

The motor in the car is a warranty replacement 440. I do have the original broadcast sheet as well as the original owners name, the dealership that sold the car new, and salesman's namewho sold the car new alone with some original warranty paperwork.

Here are a list of options original to the car ( the only non original option that was added is the luggage rack)

I think that pretty much sums it up. This is not a show car, but with the 1970 "U" code Sassy grass / white interior 440 4bbl automatic Cudaconvertible that sold at this years Mecum auction for $350,000...if you wanted to go all out "OE" restoration, you would certainly have a car you would not lose money with, but would be a solid investment you can enjoy.

I have no interest in any trades other than cash with the only exception being cash andreal "H" code 340 Cuda convertible, needing restoration is fine.

This car is being sold as is, where is and it is the buyers responsibility for pick up, though I will helpthe buyer with loading the car.
