1991 Peugeot 405 MI16

The 1991 Peugeot 405 is a unique and original vehicle that has been in the same ownership for over 25 years. Despite its age, the car is in fair condition with a clean title and only 107,051 miles on the odometer. This dark grey Peugeot 405 is not regularly driven, but it still has plenty of life left in it. With a bit of work and a little TLC, this rare car can be restored to its former glory.

Vehicle Details

I’ve owned this Peugeot since March 2000 at 72,000, and loved every mile driven in it. It has been stored in a garage since about 2007, as my parents held onto it for me to determine next steps. This is likely one of only a few US models of the 405 Mi16 left.

Known issues:

- Fuel line leaking near tank

- Right front strut needs shimmed

- Horn wiring in steering column needs inspection (horn honks when you turn to the right…relay removed for time being)

- Catalytic converter damaged by high-centered dirt road; can be sealed or replaced

Timing belt replaced at 102,000 miles in April 2005. 11 valves also replaced at that time, as well. Vehicle located near Austin, TX.
