Up for sale is a rare 1963 Jaguar XKE E-Type Roadster, a true classic with incredible potential for the right enthusiast or restorer. This vehicle came from a bodyman's estate sale and was in the midst of a restoration when it was parked. While the car is incomplete, it’s a great starting point for a rewarding project.
Key Features:
• Early Series 1 Roadster – desirable collector model
• New sheet metal installed including floor pans and rocker panels
• Includes many new and used body panels
• Original cylinder head appears intact, engine block stamped "4.2L" so block is not correct.
• Matching correct-style carburetors and rocker covers
• Steering components and dash intact
• Trunk and gas tank appear solid (gas tank will need cleaning)
Known Issues / Missing Components:
• No transmission, clutch, or ID plate
• Engine currently does not turn over
• No glass included (windshield, side, or door)
• Front frame may have been bent and weld-repaired
• Cannot verify frame numbers due to pitting
• Front bonnet has been stripped and partially repaired, needs stripping and rust removal
• Doors are present but have pitting and minor rust-through in spots
• Heater assembly is very rusty
