1968 Citroën DS

Very nice Citroen DS21 with mostly original paint. Lots of patina on this one. Some panels have been painted in the past. It is a US model car with European headlights, tail lights and some Pallas trim pieces. Nice, yellow bulbed French headlights with desirable Cibie glass covers. Smaller in-set lights have turning mechanism attached to steering system. Power steering works great. Hydraulics run on brake fluid not LHM as some of the other Euro cars. Have owned this DS for 5 years and have had the front brake calipers rebuilt, new height corrector installed and just recently installed four new hydro-pneuomatic suspension spheres, rubber boots and linkages. All new Vredestein tires.Suspension works great. Upward downward motion manually adjusted with lever and during normal driving.All the windows roll up and down, wipers work, ventilation fan works but heating dial doesnt seem to do anything.Lights, turn signals, brake lights, all work. Period correct radio is not hooked up but have the original amplifier and speaker. Some spare parts and a manual is included. Clear Ohio title in my name.2.1 liter inline 4 cylinder runs great. Car starts right up and runs smooth. True mileage on car is unknown. Odometer shows a little over 30,300 miles.Paint on this car is mostly original but several panels have been repainted in the past. It is a mishmash of beautiful old patina and some newer paint. All the panels have a little patina and a couple of nicks and scratches, bumps and bruises here and there. This is not a showpiece but a very nice driver in mostly original condition. That's how I prefer my vintage cars. I have a small collection which I am starting to thin, this hence this sale.Four-speed manual transmission shifts great.
