1956 Ford Sunliner Project
1956 Ford Fairlane
This is a rare car – you don’t see that many ’56 Fordconvertibles. My father bought this carin the mid-80’s. I believe he found it ina northwestern state (Washington, Montana?) I do not recall exactly. It hasbeen garage kept here in southern California since then. I wouldcall this a number 2 or 3 car. The paintis very good but not show quality. Norust in body panels or frame. The engine will fire and run at higher rpm butwill not idle. The carburetor has been completelyrestored/rebuilt (see pic’s) so not sure what the issue is right now. Also to note is the power steering ram leaks(needs rebuild or replacement) and the top does not operate – most likely thehydraulic pump. So it is project car andthus is a non-running car for shipping purposes.
Driving this car (top down of course) was always a blast. Not a speed demon, it’s just great car forcruising around town, plenty of room for family/friends. Dogs love riding in the back seat, wind intheir face, etc.
