Targa V8 Renegade Project 911
1977 Porsche 911
You're looking at my 1977 Porsche 911 Renegade V8 Widebody Targa project car. This car has been off the road for years and is a project. Not currently running or driving, but all there. Car is being sold with a Bill of Sale ONLY. No title. Being sold as a track car/inop project car. There are several companies out there that can assist you in getting a title for it. It costs a few hundred dollars and takes about 4-6 weeks. I've done it in the past and it's a pretty simple process for cars this old. The car still has its original Porsche transaxle/tranny. A small block Chevy V8 is in place. It can be rebuilt or several other options are possible. Depends on your imagination... Honda K swap? LS? Go back to a Porsche flat 6? Endless possibilities. There is some minor rust in the floor but very fixable. All sections are easily sourced or could be fabricated. Targa top is in good shape. The seats are later Porsche seats front and back. Original door panels and inner targa cover. The interior, rear bumper, spoiler, lights are just set inside the car for shipping purposes. Radiator is in the front trunk area and not currently mounted or hooked up. Lower front pan was cut to accommodate. If going back to original there are replacement sections available to weld back in. I believe the wheels are two piece HRE's. The car sits with a great stance. Flares are fiberglass. This is a really cool project that in the right hands will make one heck of a cool car. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. All sales final. Again this is a project car and being sold as is with a Bill of Sale only. I require a $500 deposit immediately following the auction and the remaining balance is to be bank wired within business days. No exceptions. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. I'm starting this no reserve auction at only $12,500 and the last bid wins! I will entertain offers to end the listing early.SIDE NOTE: I have been buying and selling on eBay for over 10 years. I've sold quite a few of my collector cars on here. I have always had perfect feedback. I try to be 100% transparent and list the good and bad about each item. I recently got ding'd from a buyer that bought my 2003 Porsche Boxster with 41k original miles. It was mechanically sound, and had just been serviced and gone thru by a Porsche specialist. The buyer drove the car over 6 hours home. He made it home. He texted me the next morning that along the way, he smelled coolant. On one of his stops, he noticed coolant leaking into the trunk. He DIDN'T check the coolant level, just made sure the cap was tight. He continued on his journey home, again, a 6+ hour total drive. To no surprise he overheated the engine and cracked a cylinder wall supposedly. Anyone with common sense should have stopped the second they smelled coolant and have it professionally inspected, even if it meant getting the car towed and a hotel for the night...not continue to drive and overheat your engine! This was a grown man in his 70's. That was 100% out of my control and certainly not my fault. A 20 year old car. Anything can happen. Yet he left me negative feedback and damaged my 100% positive feedback. I feel bad for the guy but he caused that extensive damage by continuing to drive the car. Look at all the other feedback left over the years from buyers at how I went above and beyond. Again, I try to be 100% transparent about anything I sell. Sorry about the rant but I take my feedback seriously. Please only bid if you are a serious buyer. This is an auction to buy the car, not to win and then think about it.Thanks for looking and good luck!
