1973 Opel GT 1.9L 4 Speed

1973 Opel GT

Unfortunately due to health reasons I need to abandon my 1973 Opel GT baby project. Great car for someone entering the Opel world and doesn't want to spill blood and guts getting into a project. I've had it for about 10 years. Car is running but not currently registered. It is painted red (before I purchased it). Original color was chrome yellow (not sure if that's the exact name) . I have a pic included of the original color (in the engine compartment). Decent paint job. A couple of spots lifted which I included in the pics. Rare (I've been told) light tan interior. One piece of window trim missing from driver's door. Engine has new plugs, oil, hoses, cables, heater valve. Heater valve is not cable connected. Radiator core rebuilt. Heater core rebuilt. New metal heater control plate. New interior carpeting. Seats have been professionally reupholstered and the frames sandblasted and painted. Driver seat hinge upgraded. Digital AM/FM radio and speakers installed. Cleaned up a bunch of wiring. All instruments work. Knife switch installed at battery post. Installed new radio and speakers. Pulled the gas tank and cleaned internally.. Odometer reading is 45,375. .A lot of spare parts (too many too list) including (2) tachs, (2) tank/temp, and amp oil gauges. Electronic ignition kit (not installed, gaskets, rear bumpers and assorted hardware including rear drive shims, (4) polyurethane rear spring hats, bracket sway bar upgrade, service manual, Weber manual, interior paint (spray can), KYB (new) rear shocks., rear drum (new), rebuilt steering assembly showing surface rust from storage, control arms with new polyurethane bushings. Rear bumpers included but not installed. Small tear in headliner repaired (not by me). Some damage to lower front valance (before I got it).. Engine starts. Runs rough, I've done no carburetor or engine work except plugs and oil. Certainly needs tuning. Have not had it on the road for a few years so can't tell you how good the brakes are. Storage area deck replaced. No spare tire or associated accessories. Separate rocker switch installed for headlights. Of course selling the car as is and no warranty implied.
