1969 rare GTO Convertible

1969 Pontiac GTO

You're viewing a rare 1969 GTO convertible. Triple Blue. Blue top, interior, and body.The exterior color is Warwick Blue. I have owned this car for many years. I purchased the car from my brother who purchased it from a gentleman in Michigan who was the original owner and worked on Pontiac’s assembly line. He restored most of the car before my brother bought it. When my brother owed it he restored it back to original condition. This is aNumbers Matching car. He has went so far as to use date coded hose clamps, original paint stamping, properly stamped hoses, date coded wires, and as you will see from the pictures, much more detail making it super original. The headlights are original T3 style retrieved from a junkyard and polished. By the way, we had the engine out twice since buying it from the original owner.

This is a 1 of 215 made car. It is a factory 2 barrel. Yes, Pontiac made a GTO with a factory 2 barrel. When it is in car shows it could be next to a 69 judge and the crowd is around this car because of the rarity. If a 2 barrel is not your thing, throw a four barrel intake manifold and Rochester carburetor on it but when you show it, bring the original intake and carburetor and set it out in front of the car to intrigue people.

I have tons of pictures from the frame on restoration. I also have a flannel lined cover. Always garaged.

It has been in 2 restoration books when my brother owned it. One of them being a hardback and featured on the outside back cover and featured in the 1969 section. Both of these were published before it was restored to it's current originality.

The car came loaded with options. The only options that were added options that were being offered at local dealerships after the car was purchased in late 1968. All of the options are listed below.

This car is not perfect. The mileage may not be original. Any one telling you that their 55 year old car is perfect they would be lying to you. It has some scratches and I think the transmission pan is leaking. The A/C has been change over to current refrigerant but it was never charged.The remote mirror is loose. Not the mirror housing, just the mirror itself. It starts and drives as it should. It could use a weekend engine detail. I am including some parts too. The car is located in Palm Harbor, FL. but titled in NJ. I encourage you to have somebody inspect it if you are weary.
